I had to go elsewhere for an exam, as they had none available. Brought in my rx. Was given a run around about insurance. Ordered anyway, ( my mistake). Was told glasses should arrive 7 to 10 business days. Today is day 11 and still no glasses. I choose them because I can get repairs nationwide, but will make another decision next time.
George, the optician on duty, was very pleasant, as was his cohort. George was able to help me with my optical needs swiftly and efficiently, at only a moderate cost. I will definitely return to Walmart Vision Center. Don
The Wal-Mart Eye Center was convenient to my house, so I went to them for an over-due exam. There was the ophthalmologist and one elderly lady at the desk. This lady was rude, unhelpful and seemed to forget things after a couple of minutes. There was only one other person waiting at the time yet she repeatedly asked my name. Curt, abrasive and forgetful. The doctor was not rude, but hurried the exam. He also informed me of incipient cataracts, and suggested I take EDTA Disodium, replace sugar with Stevia and other 'treatments', which have no scientific basis as I learned later. I have scheduled another exam due to this experience. And no way will I shop for glasses at their center...they're barely civil as well. This seems to be characteristic of most Wal-Mart eye centers based upon user reviews. As an addendum, I just had another eye exam by a optometrist, not an ophthalmologist. The exam was much more thorough, with services not even mentioned at Wal-Mart (i.e. X-ray of inner eyes). It was much more informative and done in a slower, more methodical and careful way. The front desk person was professional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The eyeglass staff was very customer-oriented. I intend to review this business separately. A study in contrasts. Guess who gets my repeat business?
I would never get glasses anywhere else!!! George is the nicest, most helpful person! He knows what to recommend, and he will get you the glasses you need!
