Weaverville Eye Associate

I had my yearly diabetic eye exam with Dr.Doug Hauschild this morning. I find him to be absolutely thorough with his techniques. I feel confident that when he completes my exam I have been given the best eye exam possible. Two Thumbs Up Dr. Hauschild. I forgot to mention that the reason that I changed eye doctors was that my previous doctor wouldn't see me for an emergency and Dr. Hauschild agreed to see me and immediately treat the problem. That's the initial reason that I saw Dr. Hauschild. Two Thumbs Up Again. 👍👍

My daughter was on a cancellation list, they called asking if we were wanting to take a sooner appointment due to cancellation which was in 48 hours. I agreed to take the sooner appointment not realizing her insurance would not be in affect by the new appointment date. They of course have a 24 hour cancellation policy BUT according to google the office closed at 11:30 the day before her appointment (when I realized the mistake with insurance). I called as soon as they reopened the day of her appointment to discuss out of pocket payment due to the insurance being inactive. I unfortunately could not afford the amount without insurance and whoever I spoke to was nothing but unhelpful and rude. Stating “they were there until 5 I should have called”. Even though I was going off what their google ad states and if I cancel I won’t be able to get another appointment for my child. I then proceeded to cancel the appointment because I will not deal with such a negative attitude from office staff. Moral of this story is that the staff personnel was rude, unhelpful and did not care. Would not recommend.

Great experience. Dr. Hauschild and his associate are very friendly and personable. Dr. Hauschild has been helping people with their eyes for as long as I've been born and he really knows his stuff. I also like the location and the pricing is reasonable even if you don't have insurance. Contacts or glasses this is the place. Thank you Dr. Hauschild!

Dr. Hauschild has been my optometrist for years and wife's for the past ten. I have always been pleased and so has wife. The only thing I could possible say that is not a positive is that his parking lot can be a royal pain getting in and out of.

I just love this place. They are always so delightful when I call. The doctor is thorough and personable. They don't try and sell me stuff which I really appreciate. Will continue having my eyes checked here!
