Walmart Vision Center

I want to take a moment and give Kasey Foster and the other nice young woman that initial helped me , sorry I forget her name, a huge shoutout. They went above and beyond for me the other weekend. I manage 6 hotels and have seen it all regarding customer service, and these 2 truly wowed me. The way they handled my situation can be difficult to train into an individual. I will be using this experience as an example of true customer service with my hotels moving forward. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon and asked the one young woman if it would be possible for them to look at my glasses that I had for many years. I accidentally stepped on them the night before and bent/broke the screw that held the glasses together off in the hinge of the frames. The young lady could have turned me away right there, but she went and spoke to Kasey who then came out. She said she would be happy to give it a try and said that she couldn't promise anything. (I can not stress enough here that most places would have turned me away, and did earlier that day) I needed to have these fixed somehow/someway so I could drive my daughter to a soccer tournament in Lancaster the next morning. A few minutes later Kasey came back with a fixed pair of glasses!!! I was not a customer at this location but I will be moving forward! I hope that the manager of this vision center understands how much of an asset these 2 really are. It is so refreshing to know that this type of customer service is still out there. Well done ladies, thank you!

This vision center hasn't had a eye doctor for couple of years and when they finally do, it's a teledoc and they don't take all insurances. As for the eyewear section, they use to have employees who worked on the other side of the store assist you because they were short staff. Now they have actual employees just for the vision center. The staff is nice and helpful. They seem to know what they doing, I will know for sure when I go pick up my glasses. I just hope that if something went wrong, they will step up and fix the problem, I won't loose my money since they too don't take all insurance ither.

While I have praise for Vision Center manager Kaylin Sanders who is a wonderful people-person, friendly and nice, she cannot counterbalance the fact that there isn't an in-store eye doctor. My exam was given by a technician who emailed the results to an eye doctor in Oklahoma! While the doctor was nice, he could only go by the test results provided. That ended up with two pair of glasses that weren't right and after seven months I got tired of not seeing properly and had to patronize another place and replace them properly by having a real eye exam and new glasses. I wasted $500 here that I didn't have to spend had they been done correctly to begin with. It's okay to fill your prescription here by purchasing frames but DO NOT get an "eye exam".

After a miserable experience with geisinger, Katlyn did an excellent job of helping our son get the right frames and lenses. She took extra time to be sure the fit was correct and his bifocal size and location was perfect. Great job!

Katlyn was so helpful and understanding during my mother in law’s transition to glasses. She is knowledgeable, patient and kind. My experience at this eye center is always great, but Katlyn definitely went above and beyond in her job. Showing visuals and helping make the right decisions, all along the way. As someone who also works in customer service, I can tell when someone truly cares about their job and customers and I am appreciative to see that in this health field. Thank you, Katlyn, for making a new transition in someone’s life a lot easier.
