This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had at an optical shop. I ordered my son’s glasses in person, and it took more than 15 days for them to be ready. From the beginning, the gentleman I dealt with was very rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the experience became even worse when my wife went to pick up the glasses. She was told by a staff member that the employees were on a one-hour lunch break. When my wife returned after the hour, she found the same employee helping another customer. The employee then told my wife that, according to Virginia law, she was not allowed to work during her lunch break and asked my wife to come back after the break. The entire experience was frustrating and completely unacceptable. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and showed very little consideration for customers. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service and professionalism.

We had an excellent experience with Elizabeth's attention. She is very patient, kind and helped us a lot with the choice of the frame for my son's glasses! We will definitely be back.

I had the best customer service at Walmart with Alexis! She helped me pick out a great frame that really complemented my face. She helped feel much more comfortable about choosing progressive lenses. I have been urged to get progressive lenses for a few years now, and I finally did. They are great! I do not have to remove my glasses anymore to see up close. It is so much easier to work on a computer and look at papers at the same time. Walmart had a great selection of frames and choices for my lenses. This was one of my best experiences buying glasses, and I’ve been wearing glasses for over 30 years.

Today, I visited the Walmart doctor in Walmart kingstown to get my eye exam. After that, I went to the vision center with my exam results. My intention was to purchase two different lenses and frames. After asking a few questions, I began searching for frames. Suddenly, the sales representative suggested that I go to Target. I was shocked because I was still looking around and asking questions. I even called my wife to come in and help me pick nice frames. The funny thing is when I complained to another representative hoping that she would help me out to buy these frames and lenses , she jumped to defend her co-worker without even letting me finish my complaint. Buying frames and lenses isn't something we do every day, which means we'll need to ask and take a little bit more time. These girls definitely need additional training in customer service skills.

I got an eye exam at the eye doctor next to Walmart vision center at Kingstowne, then went next door to the Walmart vision center and ordered two boxes of contacts to be delivered to my home. The contacts that arrived at my home were incorrect (had +2.25 instead of -2.25). So I called Walmart vision center to get the right contacts. They said I had to bring the wrong ones to their location, which is a round trip of 1 hour drive for me, in order to get the correct contacts. I objected, saying it was their fault that they sent the wrong contacts, so they should immediately send my correct contacts that I had paid for, and I would send back their wrong ones. In the end I caved in and drove to their location because I was about to leave on a 2-week trip and I needed the contacts. But when I arrived, they didn't have my correct contacts. They said they would have to order them. I said what? That's why I drove all the way to get here, to get the correct contacts to replace the wrong ones that Walmart had sent. Instead, I drove all the way here, and you don’t even have the contacts? So, they got two "sample" contacts from the eye dr. next door. They said this is the best they can do to replace the wrong contacts before my trip. So I took those two contacts, gave them the wrong ones they had sent, and went on my trip When I returned from my two-week trip, the correct contacts still had not arrived. So I called Walmart Vision center. They said the correct contacts had arrived at their Kingstowne location instead of my home. They said I would have to drive to their location (again, a one hour round trip) to get them. I said, are you kidding me? After all of this, you want me to drive there AGAIN to correct Walmart's error? The woman with whom I spoke escalated to the manager. She came back and said they would ship the contacts by FedEx to my home. A week later, the contacts STILL had not arrived. So I called again and spoke with the same woman. She put me on hold for 10 minutes, then returned and said she would call me back. When she called back she gave me a FedEx tracking number. I said so, you’re sending them by overnight delivery, correct? She said no, by 2-day deliver. And since today is a Thursday, they won’t arrive until Monday (four days instead of overnight). I asked why didn’t she send them by overnight delivery? She said the manager did not allow her to. At this point, I am waiting to see if the contacts get delivered on Monday as promised. Even if they arrive as promised this time, it will be about 6 WEEKS since I first ordered them. Please take note, if you want to avoid a nightmare like this, do not do business at this place.
