Here's a refined version that preserves your warmth, admiration, and humor while making it suitable as a thoughtful public review: > One of life's greatest blessings is coming across people who are true professionals—people who have found the career they were meant to pursue and approach it with knowledge, compassion, and pride. > > I recently had the opportunity to visit the Walmart Vision Center, operated by Portsmouth Vision Center, for an appointment with Dr. Jeannie Turner, O.D. (New Hampshire License #0715). From the very beginning, the experience was exceptional. My pre-exam was conducted by, ironically, Dr. Turner's young daughter, who is learning the profession herself. Seeing that dedication to the next generation of eye care genuinely made me smile. > > Dr. Turner was thorough, attentive, and utilized what was clearly modern, up-to-date diagnostic technology to evaluate my worsening vision. Thanks to her expertise, she was able to prescribe lenses that restored my vision to what I hadn't experienced 20/10 better than I ever expected. That alone was worth every penny of my hard-earned money. > > In today's world, it's becoming increasingly rare to find healthcare professionals who combine technical excellence with genuine compassion. Dr. Turner is one of those rare individuals. Knowing you can trust someone with something as precious as your eyesight is invaluable, and Walmart Vision Center is fortunate to have a professional of her caliber representing them. > > I do have one complaint, and it has nothing to do with Dr. Turner or her staff. Someone with her level of talent shouldn't be expected to work with a worn-out, uncomfortable examination chair in the initial exam room. I was told Walmart won't replace it unless customers complain, so here's my complaint: **Walmart, please stop cutting corners and replace the chair.** Your patients deserve a comfortable experience, and your professionals deserve equipment that reflects the quality of care they provide. > > Outstanding care deserves outstanding support. Dr. Turner has certainly earned it.

Nicely remodeled Vision Center. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly. Nice selection of frames. The Dr's are also very friendly and knowledgeable. I've bought multiple pairs of glasses here and will continue to do so. I have and will continue to recommend this place to everyone i know! Heather helped me out and she is wonderful!
a minute ago New Don’t go there if you don’t have more than 2 hours to spare. I took my daughter there to get glasses, and we waited 45 minutes without anyone helping us. We stood in line while more people kept lining up behind us, and some of them couldn’t even tolerate the wait and left. We still kept waiting, but the employee continued having a personal conversation with another customer nonstop. After waiting 45 minutes, we just couldn’t wait any longer.
The vision employees/ technicians are great! I walked in there on a random Wednesday afternoon looking to buy some contacts. My usual go to is MYEYEDR but they are awful in Portsmouth. Specifically April went above and beyond to give me the best customer service and help one could offer. She really is a gem! I felt bad that she had to jump through hoops with the insurance companies to see how much I have to use towards my contacts lens. She even threw in a trial pair for me since my contacts were going on 2 months in length. This is the type of service one should strive for when helping customers and patients bravo! 👏👏 Thank you April and staff.
I’ve used Walmart Vision Center at the Portsmouth NH location for, well I think I’m part of an original group of patients. The Drs Turner both are great and are extremely careful. I was diagnosed as a diabetic thanks to their care my vision has improved. I wear a contact 12 hrs a day comfortably and have never had trouble. I see far out of my right eye and close with my left eye it’s better than bifocals! Thank you to Dr Janine & Dr Chris Turner as well as the staff past and present who are the reason I keep returning!
