I had a very disappointing experience at the McDonald’s Walmart Vision Center. The two blonde receptionists were not welcoming at all. From the moment I walked in, their attitudes and facial expressions made it clear that they didn’t want to be there — or help anyone who walked in. They were very vague when answering questions and came across as unpleasant, mean, and rude. When you’re spending your hard-earned money on a service, you should never feel like you’re begging for basic customer service. It should be the other way around — the staff should value and appreciate their customers. Because of the treatment I received, I chose to leave and go to another location. I refuse to spend my money somewhere that makes me feel uncomfortable and unappreciated. I would strongly recommend improving customer service, because no one deserves to be treated that way.

This was arguably my best eye exam visit in the last 20 years.Dr. Paul White was stellar. He pays close attention to details and was very informative during my exam.He was patient and very determined to get me the best vision possible. Shana was my optician and is the most knowledgeable optician I've ever encountered. She pays close attention to details when fitting your glasses. She was very knowledgeable and provided me with a deep contextual understanding of how eyeglass/contact vision works. She was also instrumental in helping me pick my lenses and the why! My lenses arrived super quick (4 days). They contacted me right away! When I arrived, the optician Sophie put my lenses in my glasses quickly & efficiently. She had great customer service skills, very professional even though they were 5 minutes from closing. She didn't rush me or make me feel like I was infringing on her time. She treated me like I mattered, finishing the install after they were closed. This was by far the best eye experience I've had at any Vision center! They all receive a 5-star rating from me. I will be sending my wife next week for her exam.
McDonough walmart vision staff consistently gives me an AMAZING customer experience!! Super professional, knowledgeable of all products and services. Thanks to SHAWNA, LIV, and AMINA for making Walmart vision my 1st and ONLY choice for all my vision needs!
Since there's not an update review, I will give my recent experience. To avoid future headaches, please avoid this location. I got an eye exam in Sept. 2024 and need to fax over my examinations to LensCraft. I called on Saturday at 4:26 pm. and spoke with a lady. I provided her the fax number, and she assured me it was sent over. I was on a cabin retreat when my right eye caught an infection. As a driver, professionally being able to see is very important to see someone once i arrive on Sunday. Unfortunately, i had to pay an additional $130 because the assistant failed to do a task. Why tell me it was sent over, but in reality, it never was sent over. When I tried to understand the situation by contacting them, they refused to answer their phone. Always go north even if it's walmart vision.
I don’t normally write reviews but I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience half of the aggravation that I had to deal with today at my daughter’s eye contact appointment. The Doctor is horrible and he doesn’t have any people skills. This is my 16 year old daughter’s first time wearing contacts and he took the excitement out of the experience for her. When she couldn’t get the contacts in, he huffed and puffed. I tried to step in to make light of the situation he told me that she should only be concerned with what he is telling her. He was so darn rude!!!!! Don’t spend your money to be treated poorly at this place!!!!!!
