This office is great. The front desk was able to go over my insurance benefits clearly so that there were no surprises on the cost. They all move very efficiently, from check in to the scans to the eye exam portion with Dr. Ngo. Like a well oiled machine. I was in and out within 40 minutes.

I will not be returning to TruVision Inc. Even with insurance covering my eye exam, my total still came to $109 because TruVision added charges that my insurance did not cover. I was charged for Optomap imaging without being clearly informed that it was optional or that it would cost extra. I was also charged a “contact lens fitting fee,” even though my prescription and contact lens fit had not changed. When I questioned the charge at the front desk, I was told, “It’s the law.” That statement was misleading. After researching it myself, I learned that a separate contact lens fitting fee is not legally mandated—it is the provider’s own billing policy. Patients deserve clear, upfront explanations and the opportunity to consent before additional services and fees are added. Instead, I left feeling nickel-and-dimed and misled. Charging patients for services they were not properly informed about, then incorrectly claiming the charge is required by law, is completely unacceptable. Pathetic business practice. I will not return, and I strongly recommend reviewing every charge before agreeing to services here.
Dr. Ngo incorrectly insisted that a health condition was due to my weight and suggested that losing weight would solve that condition despite it beginning when I was not overweight. I was belittled and embarrassed. I will not be returning.
