Warby Parker - Union Market

Lynn is awesome - so friendly and helpful. Trying on glasses with her is like shopping with your best friend. I've been a Warby Parker customer since the year they were founded in New York. I wear prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses and contacts pretty much exclusively from them, with a one exception. I've done annual eye exams with them the past few years, and it's always been a really good experience. My most recent exam was yesterday and the optometrist was lovely. She did a great job of walking me through my vision/prescription changes and my eye health. She was also totally relatable and made me very comfortable. She walked me through every scan and made each step easy to understand. I definitely felt like my eyes were in great hands, lol. I recently got supplemental vision insurance through UHC, specifically because it's in-network with Warby Parker. My exam was covered, minus the $39 digital retinal imaging, and I got a new pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses using my insurance. All-in it was very reasonable. I really like this location and definitely recommend it for exams and shopping in general.

I started on the website with the virtual glasses, but when I went to the store I quickly realized the style I thought I wanted didn't quite look right on me. Sam was quick to help me converge on a shape and color that suited me best. The whole experience was done in about 15min. Hassle free and stress free. The value of the glasses with all the included options and the satisfaction guarantee made it an easy decision. Warby Parker is not in-network with my insurance, but my insurance offers reimbursement up to a certain amount. At this price point it's comparable or less than going to a participating retailer.

I had two completely different experiences at Warby Parker Union Market. My first visit was pretty disappointing. The two staff members at the front did not feel very attentive or customer focused, and I left feeling underwhelmed. I was in the store for about 10 minutes before being acknowledged or asked if I needed help, which felt unacceptable. However, I made a mental note, pushed through, and bought a pair of glasses. A week later, I decided to give it another shot as I had to return the original purchase, and I am really glad I did. Ryan completely changed the experience for me. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and easy to talk to. I came in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, but he took the time to really listen and suggested a pair that suited me much better than what I originally picked out. The whole process felt smooth, personalized, and enjoyable. Ryan truly made up for my first visit. He is the reason I am giving this location 4 stars instead of something lower. Great location, professional and personable team - I had little time and got a five star eye exam and picked frames in 30 mins. Perfect spot for eye doc. Better to do metro or uber though. Finding a parking spot was my only slight irritation.

Everyone knows Warby Parker is an amazing place to get glasses and an eye exam. The icing on the cake is the staff at this location is so friendly and personable. They made the process ridiculously efficient. All the staff are truly amazing, but Jasmine is above and beyond.
