I moved to the area year ago, finding a dentist has been very stressful for me; I have implants, a fixed bridge, crowns and suffer from dry mouth. Because I hadn't had an exam in over a year I was worried about bone loss. After asking friends and random people what dentist they use and doing research online I finally decided to use Wellness Pointe; mainly because the providers on the website looked kind and friendly; also the office is in my insurance network. Anna, was very patient, gentle and kind while taking my xrays. Dr. Jennifer Smith along with Anna are so nice and put me at ease. This may be the first time I have had an examination where I didn't feel like my mouth had been ravaged by a bulldozer. Dr. Jennifer examined my whole mouth for bone loss, went over my list of medications and assured me that everything looks good and recommended a toothpaste that should help with dry mouth. I was very surprised to be offered a dental cleaning right after my exam. Because of time constraints, I will be returning next month for my dental cleaning. This is a very clean dental office. The equipment appears to be up to date and most of all, the employees treated me with patience, kindness and dignity. With heartfelt appreciation and deep gratitude, Robin Richards

The ladies at the eligibility office were so sweet and helpful. They went above and beyond for me. Trying to help me get seen. Beyond thankful to Angela and the rest. I was in so much pain and anxiety so they truly helped me and treated me so kindly. The dentist and her aid were also beyond anything I could have expected. Thank you, yall are angels!
Overall, I was unhappy with my experience. This was my first appointment as a new patient and was scheduled for a dental cleaning. Had I known ahead of time that there was no availability for a cleaning, I would have canceled my appointment altogether. That should have been communicated before I arrived. After taking 18 X-ray pictures, I was told I would need to either wait an additional 40 minutes or come back another day for a cleaning. By that point, I had already missed over an hour of work. The dentist was not rude, but the exam felt rushed and the overall atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. Not to mention, they still billed my insurance for a “comprehensive oral exam”. Umm. “Comprehensive” is an overstatement. The assistant who took my X-rays was kind, though repeatedly calling me “girly pop” felt unprofessional in a medical setting. When I attempted to schedule a cleaning, I was told the next available appointment was seven months out, which raises the question of why new patients are being accepted when routine cleanings are unavailable within a reasonable timeframe. I want to be very clear that I was polite and respectful to every staff member and did not complain once during my visit. Despite that, the receptionist who scheduled my appointment was extremely rude and dismissive, which was uncalled for. It was crystal clear that she did not want to be there or interact in a friendly way. What I also found odd was being told there was availability for a cavity filling within three weeks, but not for a preventative cleaning, especially for a patient who has never received care here before. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I will gladly drive 2.5 hours back to my former dentist, where the care is far more professional and welcoming. Going to the dentist is something I usually enjoy, but figuratively speaking, this visit left a bad taste in my mouth.
Staff is friendly, compassionate, and seem to genuinely care about your situation. I will be making another appointment very soon to establish myself as a patient here for regular visits. Thank you to Dr Smith and Anna for understanding and easing my anxiety. Probably one of the smoothest dental visits I’ve ever had.
Don’t even think about going here for a Psychiatric Evaluation. They look at you for 20 minutes and immediately prescribe you with medication and diagnose you. I was mis diagnosed with Bipolar 2 on the FIRST appointment (new patient too) and was prescribed Anti Psychotics. I went to a new place out of the suspicion it wasn’t done properly and was treated better and was looked at during the span of weeks, and was given a proper diagnosis. Do not go here for mental health.
