My son’s journey has been a long and painful one. For more than three years, he experienced significant vision loss that eventually led to him being legally blind, 20/400 in both eyes. We were referred to West End Eye Center, where we met an extraordinary doctor who truly changed his life. She took her time, carefully examined my son, and worked tirelessly to find the best possible solution to help him see again. Because of her dedication and compassion, my son will be able to walk across the stage in May and celebrate all the hard work and effort he put into succeeding despite his vision loss. She deserves all the recognition that highlights the amazing doctor she is, because she truly made a difference in my son’s life.

West End Center is the best place to come to when you need vision services. They are very polite and friendly. Also they work with you. What I love is they take all insurances. NO PLACE LIKE WEST END EYE CENTER-BROOKHAVEN.

Dr. Shelia Gowdy has been my eye doctor for more than 20 years. I am legally blind in my left eye, which means I only have one good eye. I am also diabetic. What I love so much about Dr. Gowdy is her care and concern for my overall eye health. I recommend her to everyone I meet!
