West Orange Optical

I had a great experience at West Orange Optical! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. This was my first-ever eye exam, and Dr. Sandoval made the experience so easy and comfortable. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to explain each step of the exam. I highly recommend West Orange Optical and Dr. Sandoval!

This was my first experience with this MD office. There seems to be a real disconnect and lack of communication between the doctor and the office staff. I was not given my contact RX when I left their office today & I called back to ask for them to email my RX. The representative Blanca who is part of the office team is very unprofessional, she was rude & pushy. I was trying to ask questions abt the situation, & she spoke over me the entire time. She had very little knowledge about the eye products she was providing & was most unhelpful. She essentially ended up disconnecting the call before I could ask any clarifying questions. I would never suggest this office unless it was to my worst enemy. It was my first experience there. I am so disgusted with the way Blanca spoke to me & treated me.

First time visiting with West Orange Optical and it was great!! We made an appointment over the phone, the receptionist was really welcoming and patient. Coming into the office, they had some really cool frames on display. The optometrist, Dr. Sandoval, was really thorough with the exam and answered all of my follow-up questions. You’ll definitely have a returning patient with me!

If you ever wanted to experience a childhood memory, you need to make your next eye exam with Dr. Sandavol and her staff at West Orange Optical. Besides being friendly and professional, the childhood memory is like playing dress up when they start trying different frames on you. They won’t stop until they find your perfect frame (and of course the one you approve of). Dr. Sandavol is so thorough and she doesn’t rush. She takes her time and answers any and all questions you may have. From making the first phone call for an appointment, to picking up your glasses, her staff makes you feel comfortable and confident with your choice. You don’t feel like your in a doctor’s office, they make you feel like in your home with friends.

Unfortunately, my experience at this office was disappointing. The staff Elizabeth B. came across as rude and lacked basic customer service etiquette. When I asked questions, the responses felt condescending rather than helpful, which made me feel uncomfortable as a patient. The one bright spot was an older staff (very prettsy) member who was very kind, professional, and welcoming. She treated patients with respect and demonstrated the level of customer service I would expect from a healthcare office.
