I made an appointment with Dr. Reid, but when I got to the office, I saw Dr. Alford. One of the ladies at the desk was having a hard time trying to find me on my insurance website, so she asked, who I think was the office manager to help. I called my insurance, put them on speaker, and the problem was solved. When we hung up, she told me and everyone else in the office that Eyemed was horrible insurance and they lie and don't pay. She was so rude. She wanted to charge me $800 for my computer glasses. They were dual lenses for computer and reading. This is the reason I went into the office. I asked for my prescription and was given the wrong one. I called Dr. Alford' office while at Costco and the same lady was really rude. She told me I was supposed to tell them which RX I wanted, but I only went in for computer glasses. The Costco Optician asked if they would fax the correct RX and she said no. I told her the Optician told me all my other glasses I ordered from Costco had prism, so I asked her to add that to the RX. She asked me if I wanted to be the doctor and tell her what to put on my RX. She was horrible; no class at all. She had dark hair that she tried to put up, but it looked like she just got out of bed. Dr. Alford called me back and I told him they had given me the wrong RX..He did not apologize. I told him how rude his employee was to me and he didn't care! So, I finally ordered my glasses from Costco and got the same exact Coach frame that was at.Dr. Alford's office for $201, including tax. They are rude, rip off artists. Stay away!

I had an emergency on the day of my appointment my daughter broke her ankle so I wasn’t able to make it to my appointment because we were stuck in the ER. I called to reschedule and they had no sympathy for my daughter at all still charged me $25 as if I planned to cancel the appointment. I understand the inconvenience of a cancellation but they should make exceptions for emergencies. And the lady was just so rude about it couldn’t even be understanding.
I've been coming here for more than 20 years, and doctor just became very greedy charging me for unknown fees even if I had insurance that paid for my visit. The older lady that has been there for all those years of me coming was super rude and had no valid explanation of why I was being charged it was one excuse after another. She kept repeating those are his fees for his time and service. But the other receptionist that charged me prior to this recent appointment said it was to renew my contacts which I never was advised or asked if I wanted to renew my contacts they automatically just charged me, doctor couldn't get an accurate reading on my right eye. The lady immediately suggested to go elsewhere.... They took my money and I didn't even get my prescription nor my contacts asked for my refund and she refused.Won't be coming back to this money hungry Dr. and his rude staff.
I wanted to support a local doctor so I made the switch from Costco to this doctor. I've only been there for 1 yr. I recently scheduled my yearly appointment and I tried calling over the weekend to leave a voice mail that I had to reschedule, and I called all day labor day and it rang and rang and I never was able to leave a message. I called the day of and they charged me a $25 fee, they said the voicemail is working which I have my call logs to show that it rang for minutes at a time. Whatever they lost a customer. They said if you don't come back you don't have to pay but if you do you have to pay the 25 cancelation fee. I will post my photo of the call so you can see a 3 min difference between calls, that's how's long I let it ring. So disappointed with the customer service.
Efficient and meets appointments on time. Explained medical-eye relationship very well. Missing star is related to office staff ability to find charts (still hardcopy and difficult to locate when between work tasks).
