Winder Family Vision

This is going to be a really long drawn out story condensed to hopefully warn others before coming to this "clinic". My wife came to this location 6 months ago after being scratched in the eye by out toddler son by accident. Complained with blurry vision that was never an issue until the scratch. My wife was informed by the doctor he didn't see anything after looking at her eye. Not only that, he mentioned that what she's experiencing sounds like the start of MS. After struggling to finally get paperwork sent from this clinic to a neurologist we finally got in. $3,000 later her scans come back completely normal. The neuro then sent her to a blood specialist due to some elevated levels. That came back normal. The blood specialist finally recommended a second opinion for an eye doctor. 6 months of dealing with this the eye doctor spotted something on her eye. So now, we finally have a plan on how to treat her blurry vision, but not without the SCARE of her having MS, and not without coming out of pocket over $3,000 in different visits. Do yourself a favor and avoid this clinic.

My daughter has been going here for years and it's always a pleasant experience. He engages with the children instead of making it robotic like he's just going through the motions. They have a decent selection of frames and the doctor really listens to you when you explain any issues you may be having. His front office staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend!

Great doctor and team. place is a bit hard to find the first time. Creeps up to you quickly on the road. Lots of options and choices. I would give a 5 star if they were easier to reach and talk to. Most times I call I don't get anyone to talk to. They need a service asap to eliminate this missed calls and clients. They need to be much more efficient on the phone.

The doctor was super nice and knowledgeable but the staff not so much. I went in as a new patient and waited for an hour to be seen by the doctor. I understand as a doctor sometimes you are running behind but when I inquired, the staff made me feel as if I was a bother to them. I finally saw the doctor and he prescribed readers. By the time I got to the front to pick out my frames it was after 5:00 so they took me straight to the $150 wall because that’s what my insurance would pay. I guess they ASSUMED that’s all I wanted and didn’t bother asking or offering other options. Then when my glasses came in and I went to pick them up they just handed them to me at the desk. I have never been to a place that didn’t make sure they fit properly. I have always been sat down with a mirror etc now they slide down and it’s annoying and their hours are not super convenient for the working class. Yes, I knew that going in but, I was attempting to keep my money local rather than corporate America. I’m really disappointed.

Dr, Snyder is thorough and kind. The office staff is amazing as well. I'd recommend Winder Family Vision to anyone! I'll definitely be going back!
