Yes. A contact lens fitting is billed on top of a comprehensive eye exam because it requires extra measurements and a follow-up to verify fit. Vision plans often cover part of it as a 'contact lens fit and follow-up' benefit.
How much does a contact lens fitting cost?
Commonly $30 to $75 for a standard spherical fitting and $100 to $250 for specialty lenses such as toric, multifocal, scleral or keratoconus fits. Confirm with the practice.
Can I get contacts the same day as my exam?
Often yes for common prescriptions — most practices keep trial lenses in stock. Toric, multifocal and high powers are usually ordered.
How long is a contact lens prescription valid?
