I had such a great experience at Oregon Optometry with Dr. McBride. I genuinely recommend this office to anyone looking for quality eye exams and supportive vision cars. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, organized, and welcoming. Dr. McBride took the time to listen to my concerns, explain my results clearly, and made sure to I felt heard throughout the entire appointment. It was one of the most thorough and comfortable eye exams I’ve ever had. The office is clean and calming, and the selection of frames is easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed. The team helped me find a pair that fit perfectly and well suited to my face shape without any pressure to buy. I’m so grateful I found Oregon Optometry. Dr. McBride is an optometrist that makes you feel cared for and is committed to her work. Definitely worth visiting.

Beware! Middle of my eye exam (glasses off), gal comes in (and Dr. runs out) to show me a paper with about ten lines of numbers IF I decide to get contacts from their office. Checking out, find out there is a several hundred dollar fee. I was shocked, asked about this fee and the optician snipped that they have been in business for 20 years and this is normal. I've worn contacts for 7 years and never had issues like this before. I ask what is this charge? I have no contact lens prescription, no samples and received no "fitting". (I provided my lens details.) I felt like I had been scammed, embarrassed about this crazy expense where I received nothing, & not budgeted for. Called back next morning- refunded, appreciate that. Weird vibes I should have paid attention to- too easy to get appt on short notice, no other customers in clinic, no sign of the Dr. with the name one the door and good reviews and credentials on the wall. The tech who checked my eye pressures and peripheral vision, etc was professional and kind. No eye benefits til 2027. Hope this helps someone else.
I’m new on town and finding “all the doctors” can be a pain… someone recommended this practice to me so I scheduled an appt for an exam. They were so great even from just starting with scheduling. The person I spoke with on the phone explained pricing and all the other things I needed to know for first appointment without me even having to ask. I was unable to access my insurance card and when I got there, they had already looked me up and found me in the system! As I went through the different stages of my appt, everyone was so incredibly pleasant and kind. I interacted with approximately 5 employees and they were the type of people that are so lovely, you wish they were your neighbor so you could just chat it up all the time!!! I saw Dr. Minnie and she explained everything about my eye exam so thoroughly and asked a couple times if I had any other questions. I would 100% suggest you try this practice!!! And while I only considered a couple sets of frames, bc I found what I wanted right away, for a smaller private practice, I thought their prices were terrific!!
Dr. Jenna McBride and her staff of highly qualified yet friendly technicians made my first visit here very rewarding! They are very thorough and explain everything they are doing so I can understand why. I was worried that I would just have to learn to live with deteriorating vision but Dr. McBride and Julie and Lainey gave me hope that I would see clearly again. Julie helped me pick out cute frames and patiently taught me how to insert soft contact lenses! And, they are the first vision business to accept my VSP insurance! I am so happy I went there! Wonderful people, excellent care AND covered by my insurance. Win win win!!!
Good, helpful staff. Doctor very thorough in her exams and explanations. Glasses fitting thorough as well and took plenty of time to answer my questions about lenses being ordered.
