Acuity Eye Group

I've previously had positive experience at Acuity, but not last time, a few days ago, when misinformation from staff there caused me to lose a day's pay. My appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday, and I'd arranged to take the day off from work. I received an email from Acuity requesting updated insurance info the prior Thursday, went into the office to provide it the next day (Friday), and was then told by the receptionist, after she'd supposedly processed my info in her computer system, that I NEEDED NO REFERRAL and was all set for my appt the following Tuesday and would be charged a $25 co-pay. We'll, when I arrived Tuesday for my appt, I went to the same reception counter and was greeted by a different young lady who then requested my insurance info. I explained all of the above to her, handed her my insurance card, and waited for her to process my info. After she'd done this, she turned back to me and told me I'd need a referral from my PCP and that she was sorry. A waste of my time and money, and presumably, to a lesser degree, of Acuity's too.

This location was pretty busy but surprisingly I checked in and was taken to the back office right on time. Everybody from front office, back office stuff, optometrist and the ophthalmologist were friendly, polite and professional. Thanks for what you do. 👓🕶️👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

The professionalism of the staff on site was a pleasant experience. I did, however, have an issue with the person who answered the phone. I was at the wrong address ,when I called to inform them that it would take me 5 minutes to get there I was just told to reschedule the appointment. Even though I was at the wrong address I would have been on time for my appointment ( 2 minutes passed the appointment slotted time).

I have always been satisfied with your service...the staff and my doctor. However, I hope my appointments can be scheduled in the afternoon (after lunch, onwards) as I work in the mornings (til 11:30 am) and the transport has to pick me up 15 minutes before that time for the 11:45 am appointment. I don't have a car and I don't drive. Thank you very much.

I was surprised how well the staff treated the patients here. The staff was professional and friendly. You could tell they were emphatic and cared for everyone needs. I definitely appreciated the welcome. Please continue being kind to others it helps in so many ways.
