I will not be returning to this office. My experience was frustrating from start to finish. I waited over an hour for my initial appointment, and the doctor then incorrectly filled out my contact lens trial. At my follow-up, he told me that because the mistake was on his end, I could simply call once I finished the trial and he would verify my prescription over the phone. I then spent nearly two weeks calling and emailing the office trying to get my prescription verified. The person I repeatedly spoke with was rude and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them simply by asking for help. I was repeatedly told they were busy and would get back to me, but no one ever did. When I finally got an explanation, I was told the doctor was on leave and that I would instead need another follow-up with a different doctor. The next available appointment wasn't until the end of the month, and I would have to pay another $40 copay for an issue caused by their office. I do want to acknowledge the person I spoke with in the optometry department around 3 PM on 8/31, who took the time to actually explain the situation and let me know my doctor was on leave. I appreciate him taking the time to help when no one else had been able to give me a clear answer. At this point, I'll be using 1-800 Contacts to renew my prescription online. It will cost me an extra $20, but that's better than paying another $40 and waiting another month. Overall, the office seems very disorganized, and the communication and customer service were disappointing.
Dr. Grewal is an excellent Surgeon and Dr. Sifter is very detail oriented on surgical post op office visits. Dr. Chait was also excellent, but has left Acuity. However, Acuity has the worst customer service support I have ever experienced with a Medical Group..they do not answer their phones or return your calls in a timely fashion.! Dr. Grewal is very helpful and prompt when you reach out to him by email with a issue. Overall, Acuity Doctors are excellent, but office support for patients is very poor.
Doctor was great! Staff needs some work ! Unprofessional, rude, and don’t know what the hell they are doing. They could not even get my prescription right when they sent in to the pharmacy. I had to personally and physically drive from Indio to Palm Springs twice to receive a hand written prescription to hand to the pharmacy. I’ve tried calling and no one at the office answers the phone. You have to go through a call center. Not even the pharmacist could get through. I just had eye surgery the week before and was in need of the meds to help the high pressure in my eye . Pretty sad! Shame on you Acuity!! Unsatisfied patient.
