I had been happy with this local optical shop until my recent experience. About one year and one month after purchasing my glasses, a crack developed at the edge of one lens where it meets the frame. The glasses were used under normal conditions and were never dropped or abused. When I returned to the store, I was told the one-year warranty had expired by about one month, so they would not replace the lens or offer any goodwill accommodation. Because my eye prescription had also expired, I was told I would need a new eye exam before they could make replacement lenses. The total cost quoted was over $600, even after a 20% discount. I understand that businesses have warranty policies, but I was disappointed that there was no flexibility for a failure that occurred only one month after the warranty expired, especially since the crack appeared at the edge of the lens rather than from obvious accidental damage. I had hoped a local business would stand behind its products and value long-term customer relationships. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to take my business elsewhere.

This office is in a great location and has easy parking. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. I have had Travis Adlington for over 30 years and wouldn't go to anyone else. I feel truly fortunate to have him as my doctor.
Hidden gem! Needed help finding glasses that would look good on me and the lady got it on the first try. She also showed me a very similar pair, but explained that one was designer and the other their own brand. The designer was much more expensive and I went with the other pair. And I got a 30% discount! Highly recommend this place!
What a great office and staff. This makes getting an eye exam all the easier. Dr. Travis and his staff are genuinely positive and kind. On top of that, you get a quailty exam. It is always clean and sparkling as you walk in. They have a great selection of glasses from the high-end names to the reasonable. Job well done! 👀
Had to take glasses back as the reading power was too high and riding up too high in the frame and skewing my distance part. Kathy took good care of me and the glasses are being re-done. Expecting better results. Just removed the add power totally and will use the glasses for driving and daily use. Unfortunately will still have to resort to wearing readers all the time now. Will have to switch every time I need to read. Progressives are not for everyone. Unfortunately the only negative I’m taking away from this is, is an extremely expensive pair of glasses that won’t work for what I wanted. The business that bought Adlington Eye Center is VSP, and it’s their policy that the client cannot get back any portion of the progressives if they cannot be tolerated. I personally feel this is wrong. My frames were a bit spendy but received a promo at that time that helped. I’m glad for that as with a progressive lens you’re stuck if they don’t work which is a difference of approximately $400 or more and that’s unfortunate. Love Dr. Travis but can’t go back due to the BIG Company that bought his private business. Big Corporation is not always better. Disappointed but that’s life. Learned an expensive lesson.
