I drove from Albuquerque to Santa Fe so my 4-year-old daughter could be seen in the vision department since Albuquerque is booked out longer. Our appointment was scheduled for 9:45 a.m., but we didnt leave office until 11:15 a.m. The customer service was disappointing. While the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and professional, several other staff members were rude and seemed to have poor attitudes. During the visit, the doctor asked if my daughter had special needs. As a new patient, I found that question inappropriate given the context and how it was presented. The doctor's assistant was also rude to my wife. When my wife asked a question, the assistant appeared annoyed and rolled her eyes. We selected glasses for our daughter and were told they would take 3–4 weeks to arrive. When I asked if they could be shipped to Albuquerque, I was told yes, but for an additional $60 fee. No alternative options were offered. The doctor also recommended a VR-based vision therapy system for one hour per day. When my wife asked whether that amount of screen time was appropriate for a child, the discussion seemed to change, and we were simply told to return in six months. When we asked the front desk for more information about the VR system, the staff member was unable to answer basic questions and did not seem interested in helping. It is concerning to promote a treatment option when staff are not properly trained to explain it. Overall, the customer service at this location was poor, i would not recommend you take your children here.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Adventure Dental. My child's appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., and after receiving multiple text messages throughout the week and weekend reminding me to arrive 15 minutes early, we made sure to be there at 8:06 a.m. to complete all of the necessary paperwork. Despite arriving early as instructed, my child was still not seen by 9:00 a.m. When I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be, she simply said they were "running behind." I explained that we had arrived at 8:06 as requested, and her response was, "Your appointment was for 8:30." That response made no sense and completely ignored the fact that we had already been waiting well past our scheduled appointment time. This isn't the first time this has happened. Adventure Dental consistently runs behind schedule, yet they repeatedly send reminder after reminder stressing how important it is for patients to arrive early and be on time. Respect for people's time should go both ways. Parents arrange their work schedules, school schedules, and other responsibilities around these appointments. If patients are expected to be punctual, the office should make every effort to honor scheduled appointment times as well. Because this has become a recurring issue, I will be finding a new dentist for my child. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Adventure Dental based on my experiences.
The experience was very good. They provided my son with the proper care, and they were always very kind, attentive, and professional. I was very satisfied with the treatment and service. Thank you so much for everything!
I’ve had a great experience with the dentist Dr K, He is incredibly careful and thorough, taking the time to explain each step. The dentist cares about the patients and pays close attention to detail. I appreciate how patient and gentle the dentist is, especially when I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist who combines skill, patience, and genuine care.
We arrived after we were scheduled for 2 appointments, The Blonde i guess manager was rudely walking up and down the halls, came in treatment room unannounced asking about insurance? I told her everything is up to date, and the people verified over the phone, otherwise why would we have scheduled? She said " well my portal is down to verify" i told her "well that sounds like a you problem, next time verify the day before" she walked off. Then comes in rudely again all happy saying "its good"... I looked at her and said "well Duh!!" TOTAL HIPPAA VIOLATION ON HER PART, SHE NEEDS TO RESPECT HER PATIENT AND THERE PRIVACY! Also witnessed assistants touching the patients mouth then opening drawers and grabbing out stuff, contaminating what's in the unit drawers, then touch computer. The drawers were not wiped and stuff disguarded nor did she clean off the computer or mouse.🤢some will get sick!
