Absolutely the worst hospital I've ever been too, and I mean altru as a whole not just this building.
Horrible. I’m not positive if the medical staff here is overworked or under qualified to be working in a hospital. I took my son in twice to be seen for rib pain sustained during a football injury. All signs pointed towards a fractured rib, hurt to breathe and touch. X-rays were taken and after “review” by the radiologist and PA they concluded nothing was wrong. Go home and take Motrin is what we were told. Fast forward almost 3 months later we go back to see the same PA. All the same issues remain, pain at a 5. Hurts to breathe. X-Rays taken again and were promised a call by end of day to come up with a plan. No call til noon the next day to only say nothing is wrong. We went back today to see another Dr. In Orthopedics and after about a 5 minute exam of the same X-Ray and my sons rib a fracture was found. 5 minutes is all it took to find the broken bone. Meanwhile my son has sat with pain for over 3 months. I have filed a complaint with patient relations and will look into further action if something isn’t done about this level of incompetence.
