How do I start? The people here are friendly, and I’ve been using America’s Best for over a decade. I’ve generally been very happy with their pricing and service model. Unfortunately, this experience was a major disappointment. I brought in a current prescription from CRC Training that I had received the previous week. I’m deploying to the Middle East and needed two new pairs of prescription glasses before leaving. For one pair, I chose Ray-Bans and went all-out on the lenses: Transitions, anti-glare, coatings, etc. All told, these were several hundred dollars. The problem? My PD and fitting measurements were never taken while I was wearing these frames. I called afterward because I was concerned about this. I was told they had simply used the PD measurement from a pair of glasses I purchased from America’s Best in 2022. I specifically questioned whether that was okay and was assured it was, so I trusted them. When I later ordered my second pair directly through Oakley, the optician explained that while my actual pupillary distance doesn’t change, the placement of the optical centers in the lenses can depend on the frame and how it sits on my face. That immediately made me concerned about the Ray-Bans. After having a coworker overnight the finished Ray-Bans across the country to me in Orange County, I put them on. They’re a blurry mess. The frustrating part is that I can actually see better through my older glasses with my older, weaker prescription. And here’s the part that makes the problem particularly obvious: if I physically grab the new Ray-Bans and hold them approximately half an inch higher on my face than where they naturally sit, everything suddenly snaps into crystal-clear focus. The difference is dramatic. Put them back where the frames naturally rest on my face, and everything becomes blurry again. That strongly suggests something about the lens positioning/fitting is wrong—not simply that I need to “adjust” to my new prescription. Unfortunately, I deploy Monday, so there isn’t enough time for me to bring these back and have the problem corrected before I leave. I’ll now have to leave a several-hundred-dollar pair of brand-new Ray-Bans at home, deploy wearing my old prescription, and wait for the Oakleys I ordered separately to eventually reach my APO address overseas. After more than a decade of being an America’s Best customer, this is easily the most disappointing experience I’ve had with them. I just wish someone had taken the extra few minutes to properly measure and fit a several-hundred-dollar pair of prescription glasses before sending them out the door.

This store is fantastic. Having just had cataract surgery, I needed assistance with removing a lens from my glasses. Tara the store manager was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She took incredible care of me. I purchased a new pair of sunglasses from them and Tara and her team were extremely helpful there as well. I highly recommend this location. It’s nice to go into a store and be greeted with a smile and professionalism.

While vacationing from TN, my daughter’s glasses frame broke. Even though we generally use an out of state America’s Best, Flynn was able to quickly find which frame she had in the store & replaced the lenses for us. He was super helpful & looked up the insurance info to find out her new frames were covered too. We were in and out within 10 minutes… thank you for making life easier! ❤️

I had a very disappointing experience. Before scheduling my eye exam, I called ahead to verify whether they accepted my insurance. The response was confusing—they told me they “sometimes” take it, which didn’t make much sense. They then assured me that it wouldn’t matter because they were running a promotion where you could buy two pairs of glasses for $100 and receive the eye exam for free, making it the cheaper option. Based on that information, I scheduled my appointment. However, after the exam, I was shocked to find out they wanted to charge me nearly $600 for two pairs of glasses because I didn’t qualify for the free eye exam due to being a contact lens wearer. This was information they already knew when I scheduled the appointment, yet it was never disclosed beforehand. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and unhelpful throughout the process. The contact lenses they prescribed were the worst brand I’ve ever worn and were extremely uncomfortable. The final frustration was that the employee who took my glasses measurements incorrectly measured my pupillary distance/optical center. As a result, I can’t see properly through the glasses I paid for. Overall, I felt misled about pricing, received poor customer service, and ended up with glasses and contacts that I am unhappy with. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

Everyone is so unpleasant in this place. I have them the benefit of the doubt and went back a second time the following year but the attitudes were still the same. Just rude and hard to work with… makes the experience so uncomfortable and they make you feel stupid when you question something. I KNOW my prescription is wrong and I voiced it to them several times but they won’t fix it.. they just tell me my eyes need to adjust. Well it’s been months and I still can’t see with my contacts in…. Contacts are expensive so I’m pushing through this pack then I am 100% going somewhere else and taking my kids with me!! 3 patients lost :( yall need to work on customer service!!!!
