Came in to pick up glasses for my son and the frames were scratched really bad; apparently a lab issue. There were huge gashes in the metal frame so a young lady named Yazia attempted to help me. She showed the frame to an associate, Heather, who stated that the frames were made like that. I interrupted and said “no, it’s gashes in the metal, maybe from some equipment.” Yazia said “I want to try and find the same frame for you to see if I can replace the lens. Heather then raised her voice and told Yazia it was a lab issue and just send them back to the lab. Heather was with another customer and when she noticed Yazia still looking for the frame, she literally screamed at the poor girl “Yazia IT’S A LAB ISSUE!!!!!!!! Send them back to the lab…. GOD!!!!! If they screw up it’s on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Everyone in the store became completely silent. It was extremely awkward and I’m sure embarrassing for the associate. I have never seen someone so rude in a professional setting in my life! No other worker spoke up for the associate either. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. This location needs a staff meeting asap!!

Arrived to my appointment, and they immediately got started with me. I did the two frames and test for $90 deal. I’d totally recommend it. The staff were friendly and helped me pick the right pair for me. Very straightforward and quick! Special thanks to Aya for her help. I’m waiting on my glasses now; they should be ready within a week.
Like many others on here, my wife had an appointment at 4:30pm. My wife is handicap and uses a wheelchair. I wheeled her in at 4:36pm and got told that there is no grace period for the last appointment. She wasn't the friendliest lady and after reading the reviews she's probably numb from cancelling customers appointments all the time. After all the bad reviews, why not make the last appointment 4:15pm and give a 15 minute grace period. The doctor doesn't deserve to even have that title. We should have read all the bad reviews of this place before even scheduling with them. This location in New Lenox, IL should change its name to America's Worst Contacts and Glasses.
Absolute joke of an establishment. I’ve visited Americas best multiple times in the past 10 years & never have I ever been so disappointed with New Lenox location. I was immediately greeted with a distasteful look upon arrival, I then waited for approximately 2 minutes for the receptionist to immediately say “we don’t give grace periods for the last appointment of the day”…. which is understandable for 10-15 minutes late. However we were 3 minutes late. I guess I wasn’t aware that people have lives outside of eye exams and the employees at americas best time is more valuable than anyone else’s. I get off of work at a reasonable time which I believed to allow me to arrive on time to my appointment, however due to traffic & life in general I was 3 minutes late. Which resulted in my appointment being cancelled. I would like to not only never recommend this specific location but I also read in the reviews someone said there appointment was earlier in the day & they were also unable to see them due to them arriving “late”. This specific location is a joke & so are there “policies” that were NEVER stated when booking my appointment.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I arrived here at 7:52pm. By the time the receptionist got to me, 7:53pm. My appointment was at 7:50pm. Before I even said anything it seemed the lady already knew she was going to refuse to see me. Worst customer service. She lets me know that there is no grace period and they can’t see me. For 2 minutes. When I was stuck by a train. I don’t know what kind of doctors work here but they’re clearly miserable if they are setting those unrealistic rules here. I’ve never been to an Americas Best with this kind of service.
