I definitely think AB has went downhill in the last few years. Yesterday the corner of my right eye was all red so seeing as though this never happened to me before, I was very concerned. I called my bf to pick me up from work and he started calling the ABs that we're closest to us to ask what we should do. The first AB I called told me they had no doctor available(as per usual)the second one did, but I had to wait until 2:20 before the doctor could see me , I guess they have only one doctor available and it was lunch time. I walked in and told the receptionist I had an appointment. She had me fill out paperwork on a tablet that I had ALREADY filled out, because I recently had my yearly exam there. She didn't even ask me anything. My email confirmation with my appointment details clearly said Medical exam. I had to get a pre-test done which I DIDN'T need, because I just wanted to know what happened to my eye. The girl who did the pre-test had me doing an AVT which I clearly didn't need to do, as there was NOTHING wrong with my vision. She didn't even look at my eye, just asked me some irrelevant questions that she didn't even pay attention to. I finally saw the doctor and she told me what was wrong with my eye. She said it was something called a Subconjunctical Hemorrhage, and that it would heal on it's own in a week or 2. Ok, so why did I need a pre- test done? The doctor could have just looked at my eye and told me that instead of making me do a pre-test BEFORE she even saw me. I overheard her talking to the girl that was doing the pre-test saying she should ask me questions. The eye doctor walked right past me amd didn't eben look iny my direction, because if she did she would have seen my eye. I told the guy that answered the phone what my issue was. Idk why he didn't relay that information to the doctor. I mean what if it was an ACTUAL emergency and it was way more serious than what it was? The doctor told me that insurance doesn't cover it which actually makes NO sense when all the doctor did was do an eye exam , which she didn't really need to do, because she couldn't do anything for my eye anyway. The staff at the emmeron commons AB definitely need some training and some type of protocol in place for patients who come into the store because something is wrong with thier eyes. I should have been seen by the eyedoctor right away!

the staff avoided finding my vision insurance information although i have been to americas best in the past. i called another location and they were able to find my information within five minutes. it seems like they’re trying to avoid having patients at this location
Love the environment as Mia allowed me to feel welcomed handing me over paper work and helping me fill out where I miss and Estelle let me just say she was an honor to work with as she helped guide me threw and pick out what plan would help work the best … she also saved me some funds!! 10/10 recommend and will definitely be back oh and Dr. B was GREAAATTT , she did her thing making sure my vision was as clear as possible
I found this store very clean and the employees very respectful. They were meeting all of their clients needs, some going above what was expected of them. I especially appreciated Estelle. I am a senior on a fixed income. Our eyeglass coverage has been cut and she helped me to be able to afford new glasses. She very patient and kind. I will go back next year.
