Was trusting America's Best for over 20 years even aftercontinuous misdiagnosis. 5.75, then 5.50. Later, then changed my prescription to 4.50. Another doctor then prescribed 4.25 in my left eye and 4.50 in my right eye. The last doctor had me turn in the 4.25 prescription and changed my left eye back to 4.50. For over a year, I have been complaining since, to the Royal Oak location that something wasn't right. I was repeatedly told that my double vision was getting worse because of dry eye and that everything should be fine once the dry eye was under control. I got my dry eye under control. The double vision still got worse, and now my left eye is blurry. I came in multiple times complaining and was repeatedly told there was an adjustment period. It never adjusted. It got worse. The glasses are okay, but I still have to take them off to read or do simple close-up, wash dishes, tasks on my laptop or computer. My bifocal contacts continue to give me problems. After spending hundreds of dollars and repeatedly coming back asking for help, now they want to charge me another $100 for a follow-up. I have documentation showing the prescription changes. The most frustrating part is feeling like my concerns were never taken seriously when I kept saying something was wrong. America's Best got the diagnosis wrong. There is a reason they cost less. In At this point, I have to ask: Is there a doctor out there who actually takes patients seriously when they say they need help?

Just had an eye exam and was fitted for two pair of glasses at the RO store. The optometrist, Dr. Hubbard was outstanding! He was professional and knowledgeable. Emma, fitted me for my glasses and did such a good job lining up my trifocals. Everyone in the store is friendly and efficient. Really happy with the service and my new glasses.
I am a longtime customer of Americas Best. I went in for my yearly exam and glasses. After the exam I met with an assistant name Emma. She was fantastic, helping me find the right size frames and paying attention to detail and was courteous and helpful through the whole process. We were just wrapping up the process and another employee named JUSTICE yelled across the store that she needed Emma to drop what she was doing and come do a fitting for a new walk-in customer saying “I’m not doin this all myself”. Emma responded saying she was just finishing with me. JUSTICE snapped, “no, you’ll come now, walk away from what you’re doing now. I’m not doing this all myself”. Emma did as she was ordered, leaving me to wait for them to take care of another customer. I was stunned. After another 15 minutes of waiting, Emma returned and literally folded the receipt, put it in an envelope and we were done. JUSTICE is rude, abusive, and clearly in the wrong position. She’s way over her head. She either needs to be retrained and placed in a position with less responsibility or let go. I likely will not return to that store after that experience. So unprofessional.
I had an outstanding experience at America’s Best and I have to give a huge shoutout to Emma. She helped me immensely from start to finish. She answered all of my questions, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, but most importantly made me feel confident in my choices. Emma was not only incredibly knowledgeable and educational, but also genuinely kind and patient. She went above and beyond to provide the best customer service I’ve honestly ever received. Sounds like hyperbole, but it’s true! It’s seriously rare to come across someone who cares that much about the customer experience. Because of her, the entire visit was smooth, stress free, and really a lot of fun haha. I highly recommend coming here and asking for Emma if possible. You won’t be disappointed!
I had my first exam with this location about two weeks ago, and it was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had with an America’s best location. I will continue to be going to this location every bit of staff that II had my first exam with this location about two weeks ago and it was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had with a America’s best location. I will continue to be going to this location. Every bit of staff that I interacted with was amazing. I don’t remember the doctor‘s name, but she was so kind Leanne I think maybe I could have that name wrong helped me pick out my glasses. She was amazing and very helpful and Theo works at the front desk and he just is very pleasant over the phone and very kind. I highly suggest this location.
