America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My family and I scheduled visits last week. Everyone was kind and professional. This was our first time doing a virtual visit with the optometrist. We felt comfortable and well taken care with the technician being there to support. We were very satisfied. What sets this place from other opticians was that we did not feel pressured to buy anything. We were given accurate and helpful information and were able to make an informed decision. We did end up buying glasses for my husband and son. The prices are very competitive and the glass selection was very good and included different price points. Tony’s professionalism and kindness is to be noted. We will definitely return for our next visit.

Thanks again for great service and customer relations!! 6/17/26 I decided to go to America’s best because of an advertisement I saw that said you could get two glasses and an eye exam for $95. They were very adamant about this being the deal even when I walked into the store and asked about the two for $95 glasses and free inspection deal. They even said my insurance covered some of the cost. Waited 25 min for the eye doctor, after I’d done my exam waited another 40 minutes and picked out glasses and found there are two major issues. First, they said that they take my insurance, but the insurance does not cover the two for $95 and can only be applied to one pair. On top of this the lenses are an additional charge. I expected leaving with 2 glasses for $95. After I chose my glasses and applied my insurance I ended up with one pair for $80. My insurance covered $100. Everyone at this location was nice, and the eye doctor was funny.

Mike was so helpful, kind, funny and this place is the BEST place to get glasses! 10/10’ recommend I wanted to update my review , And here is my updated review. This place is phenomenal. This company will take care of you. Get your prescription right get you the glasses you love and if anything goes wrong with the glasses, they definitely work with you to fix any problem. I don’t care if I move across the country I will always come back to this place because this place has been amazing. Thank you so much to all of you and to this specific store I’m sure they all are amazing but this one has been so great! And for everyone who is looking at the bad reviews, ignore them everything that I experienced with this place was like I said phenomenal. They also have a very wide selection of glasses for women, men kids, and also sunglasses. This was the best customer service I have never received, and that goes a long ways! Thank you so much again ❤️

America’s Best I cannot put into words how patient and accommodating Dr. Yarborough’s Office Assistant Jaleya was yesterday. She was so professional, super easy to talk to and very engaging. She didn’t rush me, she was patient in taking the time as to answer all my eye care questions. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and truly cares about helping those who come through the door. I hope that she is recognized for her outstanding customer service work. I highly recommend America’s Best in Cary to anyone looking for a good eye care facility along with a solid staff.

Everyone was very kind and helpful EXCEPT for the doctor (after reading reviews, I believe it was Dr. Yarborough) and the person who fit me for my glasses. Asking certain questions, like getting your PD (pupillary distance- just in case the doctor doesn’t want to tell you) for ordering online glasses is apparently a big problem. Fortunately the person who helped me select my glasses was kind and took my PD. She explained the challenges that can come from ordering glasses online but without being disrespectful. Even more, spending more than $300 on three pairs of glasses, I expect to be treated kindly. The person fitting my glasses didn’t trust my request to better fit my glasses for MY comfort, questioned me repeatedly, was short with me. DO NOT ask how things feel if you don’t want me to consider my comfort and don’t care to assist I considered buying some glasses cases before leaving, but I’d be crazy to pour even more money into a business that has me anxious and irritated each time I walk through the doors. To the folks at the front desk and the person who helped me pick out my glasses, thank you. Getting an exam after so long and with social anxiety was challenging, and you helped ease my nerves some. You were wonderful!
