America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

0/10 I do not recommend! Where do I start… they don’t wipe down the machines after each patient after eye exams & I had to do that myself. The customer service is horrible, they are always understaffed, grumpy and when I thought I had a point of contact person she is never here or in the bathroom. My last couple of visits I’ve been here more than an hour waiting with no results. At this point I’ll just get my prescription and buy online. I won’t be back to waste my insurance here.

Went in for contacts in mid February. The contacts they had ordered did not work out for me, causing major eye irritation. The clock tower location where I received the contacts told me I had to come in and see the eye doctor again in order to return my still sealed box of contacts. The appointment date they setup was a day after the 30 day return policy. So I went to another location to complete the return on February 26th. I was told 10 days to receive a check since they dont have cash on premises. I called when it had been 3 weeks and they told me it would be at least a month from March 6th when they finally got around to processing the return. Today is the 8th and I still do not have my contact money back. So in mid February I spent about 200$ including exam in order to still not be able to see in early April. Since I have the contract for free eye exams the next 3 years, I will go there for only a prescription from now on.

Sade was great!! Literally helped me try on almost every pair in stock. I was kind of pick and she was patient and understanding. I almost bought 6 mo. of contacts for my husband and she so kindly recommended a trial pair. I had expressed concerns about his last set not working out from a previous optometrist. Would highly recommend stopping in! Bonus quick and conventional scheduling online. Scheduled an appointment next day. Got in and out super quick. 😀

When I went on 3/31/2026 my eyes wasn't check right & Tony didn't measure my lenses right, my opinion Tony didn't know what she was doing & I had to go back a second time because I just couldn't see out of my glasses so I went back on 4/15/2026 now I can see out of them but I can't read out of them smh. I'm done with AB after 20yrs! I give the receptionist & the lady that take you back before you see Dr.David Shapiro 1star also & I give IZEIAH 4 because he was the only one who took his time with me as far as measuring my lenses & no line bifocal but I still can't read out of them but I can't see better out of them but I am respectfully done with American Best! Dr. Shapiro gets 1 star also and he needs to retire permanently.

Amy was incredibly helpful. My daughter has a specific frame that she orders every time Amy was able to locate them when we failed to. She also was able to suggest a second pair that my daughter overlooked and ended up loving. Amy was also able to give me more helpful information on the contract club my husband is a part of.
