I had a very disappointing experience at America’s Best. I specifically told the associate that my vision insurance was ending at the end of the month and that I wanted to pick out a pair of glasses and use whatever benefits my insurance would cover before it expired. During my visit, I also explained that I needed to leave because my two-year-old granddaughter was becoming upset while waiting in the car. The associate told me, “That’s okay, let me just give you this printout.” Based on our conversation and the time we spent selecting frames, I was under the impression that my glasses order had been placed. A week or two later, I called to check on the status of my glasses, only to be told that the order had never been submitted. I was shocked and frustrated. I specifically explained that my insurance was ending soon, yet no one bothered to place the order or contact me to let me know that additional steps were needed. Because of this misunderstanding and lack of communication, I potentially lost the opportunity to use my insurance benefits before they expired. Better communication and follow-through would have prevented this entire situation. Unfortunately, this experience left me very disappointed. Thanks Ellen,,,,and the disrespectful manager that hung up on me when I asked of I could go to their sister store.

When I went to make my appt at the Mohawk Commons location I was told there is no record of my eye care club that I had a receipt for and that I would need to pay again. Spoke to the store Manager Dana and was essentially told to pound salt and was offered nothing but rude and unprofessional behavior. I have never seen the same employee twice at this location and its quite scary knowing this level of care is whats handling my vision in the future. Truly Awful.
They “accidentally” booked our follow up appointment for a day where the doctor wasn’t in. Made the next appointment based on our availability, which was about two or three weeks later and they would only give us five days worth of contacts and told me we had to keep a day’s worth for when we saw the doctor so we only had usable lenses for four days. The girl told me that that’s all they had in stock. They are a chain but at no time did she even try to get lenses from a different store. I am disappointed with my experiences and feel this was all done unprofessionally. It was just lots of runaround and excuses If I could do it over again, I would’ve gone with someone else
Terrible experience. Horrid customer service. Employees care more about their phone than their customers. It starts with the manager, Khris, and trickles down from there. Couldn't be bothered to help me in the waiting room. Preoccupied with their phones. The way they looked at me made me feel uncomfortable. The lady doing the eye exam was pleasant, only reason for the two star. They up sold me an eye care plan which was supposed to come with free contacts. The contacts never came. No call, no notification. I waited two months then went back. They couldn't explain what happened, but they ordered another trial pair. The manager, Khris, said he'd personally call me when they're there. No call. Fast forward a year. Here we are. Called today. Said there's nothing they can do about it. They still. have the record. Guy on the phone wouldn't order me another pair, said that it was my fault for waiting too long. How's that's for customer service? Should have got his name. So now that I'm thoroughly disgusted, I'm gonna go order some contacts online! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
I came in to pick up my glasses and left with two additional pairs, all because of the exceptional staff at the Mohawk Commons location. It started with Wendy, who answered the phone with such a warm and pleasant tone when I called to inquire about my glasses. That same welcoming personality carried right into my in-person visit. She helped me with adjustments, and when I noticed some damage to my glasses, Wendy brought in Connon, who stepped in right away. He looked into the issue, quickly resolved it by ordering a replacement pair, and even let me use my current pair in the meantime. Which I really appreciated! When I asked Wendy about browsing for additional glasses just to get an estimate, she encouraged it and offered her support. Connon ended up helping me. Wendy was occupied supporting a first time contact wearer and offering the same kindness and warmth to the individual in front of her. Connon’s patience and attention to detail made the experience so smooth that the estimate turned into an actual purchase! I thought I was all set to head out, but my glasses were still sitting a little crooked and were a bit uncomfortable against my head and caused blurry vision. That’s when Dana stepped in. She worked her magic with expert precision, and what really stood out was that she took the time to explain exactly what she was adjusting and why, accounting for the shape of my face. ⚪️ She also recommended some pads for added comfort, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely pleasant and embraced my personality without hesitation. They made me feel completely welcome, and I absolutely look forward to coming back. You all are doing a fantastic job, keep it up! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
