America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

The optometrist and the tech were very nice. The lady who checked us out after we picked out our glasses was a different story. She was so rude. My husband needed bifocals for the first time and we had several questions about them. The lady told me that I should be able to understand them since I had progressive bifocals last time I was there. Tried explaining that neither of us had ever had bifocals and she start telling us to calm down that we were very aggressive to her. After that I refused to speak to her unless I needed too. We were just attempting to understand something new and she was unwilling to explain it. Also called a few days later asking when our glasses would be in and was told they didn't know. Then hung up on without a goodbye when I said I didn't have any other questions. Just so rude. Front of house staff should be the nicest.

My husband and I went to get our Rx and glasses at the Terrell, Texas location. (I have previously gotten glasses at several other locations with zero issues.) This was a mess from the moment we paid for our glasses. Our appointment and glass ordering was done the day before Thanksgiving and we never received our glasses (4 pairs) until mid January. My husband's glasses have been alright, although he has needed to have them adjusted several times because they were so put of shape. Mine were lost in the mail, then once they finally arrived the bifocals were at the top of the glasses, not down where they were supposed to be. When my glasses arrived the second time (2 weeks ago) the frames are so bent out of shape that they are unwearable. So, for $700+ I have nothing to show for it. The manager did give me credit for the sunglasses (I had provided the frames) because they too are so out of shape I cannot wear them without them falling off my face. I would highly encourage anyone who has read this far to RUN far away unless you want total frustration and to throw your money away.

Went recently for an eye exam and contacts and was greeted almost immediately by the front desk lady, the rest of the staff was very helpful, especially the beautiful young lady named Diana, she was extremely kind and answered all my questions very well! If you are in need of eye care, there’s a reason they call them Americas Best! ;D

I went in for an eye exam to get contacts on January 22, 2026, a Thursday. Here it is February 17, 2026, and I still don't have my contacts. I was told it would be 7-14 days, but due to the snow storm, it may take longer. They don't just offer sample contacts; you have to ask for them. The first pair ripped the very next day, so I have to call in for more. Also, I recently called in Friday to see if my order had arrived, and I was told that once it arrives, I will receive a text message. Nobody knows when it's coming. I was told by one person that my order was in route and should arrive later that day. Then, I've had another person tell me that because of the snow storm, it's going to be longer than the 7-14 days, and another one to say I'l receive a text. I really don't think I'll go here again .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience at this location. The staff was patient, professional, and very transparent about timelines, especially during the holiday season. My glasses took a bit longer than usual, but that was clearly explained upfront and any adjustments I needed were handled quickly and kindly. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and respectful, and I never felt brushed off or blamed for anything. Delays happen, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but what matters is how staff handles it and they handled it well. I would absolutely come back.
