If I could give Dr. Carrier 10 stars I would. Absolutely the most thorough exam and amazing recommendations for changes. I cannot wait to see how much better my vision is after I try my new drops and contacts! I am so thrilled with the service and care i received. He did not rush through my appointment and spent lits of time explaining options and his recommendations. I love hearing the why. Charles was super patient and helpful with picking out frames and verifying insurance. And I am so picky since I am not used to wearing glasses, so super appreciative of his kindness!
I had an appointment for an exam to get eyeglasses and contact lenses. From the moment I walked in everyone was so amazing. Uno the technician doing the testing was so helpful. I explained to him I hadn't worn eyeglasses in over 30 years. He explained the whole process step by step, answered all of my questions, and was very compassionate. He set me at ease and I actually had a fun and knowledgeable experience. The doctor was very thorough and honest about what he saw on my eyes - referring me to a retinal specialist just in case Benazir of other health issues I have. I would highly recommend this location especially if you have an hesitations or fears.
Very disappointed with my experience at America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. I had glasses made, but unfortunately, neither pair works for me. It has been a frustrating waste of time and money. I went back hoping they could check the glasses and possibly fix the problem, but they didn’t even take the time to properly look at them. I expected much better customer service. I hope they can improve how they handle situations like this in the future.
This was probably the worst customer experience I’ve had at America’s Best, and honestly, it made me regret trying contacts altogether. As a first-time contact lens wearer, I expected a little guidance and communication throughout the process. During my initial appointment, the doctor specifically told me that someone would show me how to put my contacts in. However, when I met with an associate afterward, I was told that wouldn’t happen that day and that my contacts would take over two weeks to arrive. While disappointing, what frustrated me most was the complete lack of communication between the doctor and staff. The associate seemed either new or poorly informed because one of the most important parts of the process—scheduling my contact lens training—was never discussed. The contacts ended up arriving earlier than expected, which was the one positive part of this experience. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. I arrived at the office around 1:15 PM to pick up my contacts. When I approached the front desk, I explained why I was there. The employee helping me appeared completely uninterested and acted as though assisting me was an inconvenience. In fact, he was ready to simply hand me the contacts and send me on my way. I had to be the one to remind him that I was a first-time contact wearer and needed assistance learning how to put them in. Only then did he respond with, “Oh, you need someone to help?” As if this information wasn’t already documented in my file. I then learned that I couldn’t receive assistance until the doctor returned from lunch at 2:30 PM. I had somewhere important to be at 3:30 PM, so naturally I asked why this wasn’t communicated to me ahead of time. Had anyone informed me, I would have gladly come earlier in the day. Instead of acknowledging the breakdown in communication, I was told, “You’re asking me hypotheticals, and I can’t answer that. I wasn’t the one who helped you.” I was then informed that they “usually” schedule a training appointment when contacts arrive. Well, nobody scheduled anything with me. When I asked if I could simply take the contacts and return later for the training, I was told that legally they could not release them until I had completed the training. Again, I understand policies exist, but the issue wasn’t the policy—it was the fact that none of this information was ever communicated to me beforehand. The entire experience was filled with miscommunication, poor customer service, lack of follow-through, and zero accountability. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to repeatedly remind staff about basic information that should already be in my file. I also shouldn’t have to rearrange my day because your team failed to communicate required steps in the process. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I’m certainly not someone who complains for the sake of complaining. However, I strongly believe businesses should be held accountable when they fail to do their due diligence. This location failed at every step of communication and customer care. I will not be returning to this location, and based on this experience, I will not be using America’s Best again.
