I was shocked by how different my prescription was when I got a second opinion after visiting America’s Best. The prescription they provided was dramatically different from the one I later received elsewhere, particularly for my left eye. I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old, so I am very familiar with how my vision should feel when a prescription is correct. During my exam with Dr. Gandhi, the appointment felt very rushed. I told him at least twice that my vision was still blurry and that I could not see clearly during the refraction process. He explained that the blurriness was because my current glasses were about a year old and that my eyes simply needed an updated prescription. When I returned to try the contact lenses prescribed from that exam, I experienced the same issues. The contacts were uncomfortable, and my vision was still blurry. I specifically asked if my eyes could be rechecked because something did not feel right. However, I was again told that the problem was due to changes in my vision rather than the prescription itself. Because I was concerned, I sought a second opinion elsewhere. The prescription I received was significantly different from the one provided by America’s Best, especially in my left eye. Had I purchased glasses based solely on the original prescription, I likely would have ended up with lenses that did not meet my visual needs. This experience left me questioning the accuracy of the eye exam I received and whether my concerns were adequately addressed. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before purchasing glasses if something doesn’t feel right.

I had an extremely disappointing experience here and it continues….. I was especially surprised because I used to go to the Hagerstown location and always had wonderful experiences there. Unfortunately, my experience at the Winchester location was nothing like what I had come to expect. I scheduled a contact lens exam on June 23 because I urgently needed contacts that same day. I had already had an up to date exam and could have simply ordered contacts online, but I specifically made this appointment because I expected to leave with trial contacts, as I have at every previous contact lens exam. Instead, I waited over three hours for my appointment. After all that time, I was told I wouldn’t be receiving any contacts because the doctor wasn’t there and that I would have to wait about eight days for them to arrive. I was shocked that this wasn’t communicated before my appointment, especially since it completely defeated the purpose of coming in. To make matters worse, I was supposed to receive them yesterday, but no one contacted me. When I called today, I was told the earliest I could get my contacts is July 8—more than two weeks after my original appointment. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. I’ve never waited three hours for an eye appointment, and I’ve never had a contact lens exam where I didn’t receive trial lenses before leaving. I’m currently without contacts and can barely see, which is why I stressed that this was an emergency from the beginning. They clearly don’t have physical doctors at this location often and do not inform you of that. Receiving your trial contacts 15 days after your initial contact exam is absolutely ludicrous. At this point, I would either like my contacts immediately or a full refund so I can order them elsewhere. I cannot recommend this location based on my experience.
Don't think I've ever felt as rushed and not cared for by a medical professional in my life. The doctor couldn't be bothered to write down the type of eye drops that he recommended to me. Kaitlyn lied to me by saying my prescription changed and that I had an astigmatism in one eye to sell me glasses and upcharge for an anti-glare coating. She had trouble figuring out the different prices for me and somehow when I considered glasses and contacts my eye exam was free but bc I decided to only get contacts it was no longer free. I won't be going back there. The only positive I have to say is I was able to schedule an appointment quickly.
Great customer service led by Jessie and Tammy. They presented a variety of options and ensured I was comfortable with my selection. Usually, I wouldn't go to a retail eye care place, but these folks created a personal office atmosphere. Great experience. Very pleased. Well done Jessie and Tammy.
Was very unsure what to expect, never had glasses before. Anna was very patient and helpful but she also was just very nice. It was refreshing to be treated with kindness.
