Edit: Even after nearly three years, they fully supported us, acknowledged the error, and refunded our money. On July 29, 2023, we went to this store to get glasses made for my son with a prescription of +2.00 SPH in the right eye (OD). My son was never able to wear those glasses properly. We went back to the store at the time, and instead of taking the time to re-examine him or verify whether the prescription or measurements were wrong, we were simply told that it was “normal” because they were his first glasses. Today, almost 3 years later, we discovered that his prescription should actually have been -1.50 instead of +2.00. He got new glasses from another store and walked out wearing them immediately without a single complaint. That was 3 traumatic years for my son and $579 wasted. I hope the company takes another look at our case and does the right thing.

Jodi is absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, funny, and helpful. She picked out a couple different frames that I would have never picked for myself and I ended up falling in love with them. I’m extremely grateful for her help and will definitely be back to see her for my frames next time ☺️

Yesterday I had an eye exam appointment 07/14/26. They were extremely short handed so the wait was lengthy. While waiting I observed Jodi as I waited. She was literally doing her job, greeting people as they came in the door among other task. Her patience with each customer is to be highly commended. She thoroughly waited on each person with a smile on her face me knowing and seeing how hard she was working to accommodate each person. I am beyond impressed and my heart went out to her at the same time. Its very clear she takes great pride in her work!

My experience was amazing at Americans Best in Hixson,Tn. Jodi was amazinging and fun. She walked me through all my options and made the whole process. Michelle checked me right in and the whole staff made it a fun helpful environment. My eye doctor and assistant were knowledgeable and exceptionally professional.

I have been using America's Best for over 10 years. I have never had an issue until 3 weeks ago. I went in being told I could get the pair eyewear. I got the exam and decided on what I wanted for the frame and magnetic snap ons. The rep then tells me they can't be made with my prescription. So I ended up having to settle for the 2 pair, which I didn't want to do. I had to pay more than what I wanted but I went ahead with the purchase. The next week I had to go and have an exam at our local eye Dr. My prescription from America's Best was 100% not going to work for me. The local office I seen gave me a new prescription just in case there's didn't work. Sure enough when I went to get my glasses the prescription they prescribed was so strong I couldn't see at all and the lens were so thick that they are barely in the frames. I gave them my new one to have them replaced with the proper ones. I go yesterday to pick the new ones up and only one pair was there. The receptionist Rhonda had told me the day before that they were both back, which was a lie, and then proceeded to hang up on me when I tried to ask another question. Let me add how she is absolutely the most rude human I have ever spoken to. So I get there and find out there's only 1 pair. I take them and leave and they called me later that day and said your other pair is back. I go back and they were the exact pair I had just picked up. The first pair they gave me were the old prescription they had given me and the second pair thank God was my new prescription. I have still not received my second pair of glasses. Once they do arrive it will be my 4th trip to retrieve them. That's if they are even right. I have ended up ordering the magnetic glasses offline for half the price of what I have paid there and yes my correct prescription can be made with those types of glasses. I honestly feel a partial refund should be made because I drive almost 2 hours each time there and back. I am perfectly fine with having to pay for my exam even though it wasn't done properly. America's Best in Hixson Tn will never have my business again.
