been a customer of American Best for seven years, and this year’s experience made me decide to take my business elsewhere. After missing the pickup window for trial contacts during a very hectic season of life, I requested another trial pair while waiting for my next subscription eligibility. Rather than listening to the situation or escalating the request to the doctor, I was repeatedly told “policy” by sales associates, with little follow-up or communication. What disappointed me most was not the refusal itself, but the lack of customer care, ownership, and flexibility after years of loyalty. Businesses lose long-term customers when frontline staff are empowered to shut down requests instead of looking for thoughtful solutions that build trust and relationships.

I had the pleasure of having Deidre assist me with shopping for replacement glasses and an another pair. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me being so undecided. Deidre explained my insurance coverage, the ordering process in detail and helped me pick out some amazing glasses. I definitely recommend this store and Deidre. Thanks for the experience, thats what great customer service is about.
The manager of this Location is the most unprofessional ignorant person I’ve ever come in contact with they called. We went there for an exam. We ordered the contacts we put the contacts in the following morning. I had to go to the ER spent the night at St. Mary’s called the next day. He basically told me there was nothing he could do for me after we signed up for all the extra premier care with free follow ups and free this and free that wouldn’t honor anything that we agreed to when we signed up for and paid extra for it, don’t waste your time go find a real doctor. Go find a real eye doctor and go find a real place to get your contacts or glasses. These people only want your money they will give you anything possible to get you out the door no matter what the consequences are the Gentleman that’s the manager this Location should be fired immediately. His name is Derek.
I brought my teenager there for a glasses and contacts exam. No one advised me before paying over $500 for the prescriptions and glasses, that I had to continuously keep coming back to be able to get a $180 contact prescription. When advised we had to come for the 2nd time I asked for the prescription or a refund because we didn't have the time to keep coming there. Besides I wasn't advised we had to take multiple trips there for a contact prescription that I already paid for. If I'd known about having to take multiple classes I would have gone elsewhere. How this is being handled after I already paid my money for a prescription we have to jump through hoops to get. I want my money back
I thought this place was the nicer location, but it ended up not being had a problem with the contacts. They gave my husband wind up at the hospital with a swollen eye. I called and spoke with the manager to see if we could make an appointment to see if they could look at it or see what the issue was but I got a hold of Derek the manager he is the most ignorant man I think I’ve ever spoke to. He wasn’t interested in helping the only thing that he had to say is that his staff did not make a mistake they need new employees when you visit this location it’s a bunch of Spanish women sitting in the front and all they do is laugh as you’re trying to take care of business American best contacts is not as good as it used to be. If you’re not handing them your money they’re not interested in there especially this location charge you more than what you’re supposed to be out
