I am writing this review based on my personal experience with Dr. Stolte and the staff at his office following my emergency surgery. Dr. Stolte was called in to perform emergency surgery on me. At the time of the emergency, I was not initially aware that he was out of my insurance network. Since my surgery, I have also had a follow-up appointment with him. My biggest concern has been my experience trying to have a required medical form completed following my surgery. The form is a Victim Compensation Treatment Disability Statement issued by the Florida Office of the Attorney General, Bureau of Victim Compensation. It is used to document a patient’s inability to work and requires information from the treating physician, including the dates the patient was unable to work and the physician’s signature. I submitted the form to Dr. Stolte’s office because he performed my emergency surgery and was involved in my follow-up care. I was simply asking for the physician section to be completed regarding the time I was unable to work while recovering from my injuries and surgery. Instead, I received a voicemail from a staff member named Donna from Dr. Stolte’s office. In the voicemail, Donna stated that they had shown Dr. Stolte the form and that he said he was not going to fill it out because it was “not his responsibility.” I have retained a copy of the voicemail and can provide it as documentation of what I was told by the office. What is especially frustrating is that the form itself specifically contains a section for the attending physician’s information and physician’s signature. I was not asking the office to do something unrelated to my medical care. I was asking the surgeon who performed my emergency surgery to provide documentation regarding my treatment and the period during which I was unable to work. I understand that physicians may have policies regarding paperwork. However, the way this situation was handled left me feeling dismissed and unsupported. After going through an emergency surgery and dealing with the recovery process, I expected better communication and compassion from the physician and his staff. Patients should not feel like an inconvenience when requesting necessary documentation directly related to their medical treatment and recovery. The emergency surgery was already an extremely stressful experience, and the lack of assistance afterward only added to that stress. I sincerely hope Dr. Stolte and his office take this feedback seriously. I believe patients deserve to be treated with professionalism, dignity, and respect, especially when they are recovering from a serious injury and emergency surgery. I have attached the form that was needed to be filled out it was simply ONE PAGE ! And I was told “ it’s not the doctors responsibility “ I also attached the voicemail that was left on my phone with EXACT WORDS FROM DONNA

I called in as an emergency I had an appointment right away. The office was neat, orderly & says WELCOME as you walk thru the door opposite the elevator. I met 4 gals who handled paperwork and necessary eye exams needed for me. One nicer than the other. NEXT: Doc Keith, with over 30 years experience I couldn't ask for a more thorough diagnosis. I had RX in hand and faithfully followed Docs instructions. My check up appointment was in a week. Same treatment as the phones ring off the wall, same smiles. This office is top notch. I pulled up the office on Google maps to forward to a client of mine. Shocked to read some reviews. No one who is a patient of STOLTE EYE would even believe these reviews were submitted for this office, just nonsense. I was office manager in a medical office for 8 years and I promise you this is a QUALITY RUN office at all levels. Thank you to all at STOLTE EYE! God is looking down saying 'good & faithful servants!'
I had a bump on my lower lid for 2 years. I went to Newsome eye clinic. They thought they had got the contents of what was actually in my eye. But nope. It came back a few months later. Dr Stolte knew exactly what to do since he has over 40 yrs of experience in the practice. Glad that I found him!
Office team is very friendly and Doctor is excellent MY dad had surgery and it went great his vision is 100 percent better. I would recommend this doctor to anyone.
I scheduled an eye doctor appointment for my mother, and unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. The appointment was rescheduled twice, causing unnecessary inconvenience and wasted time. For someone who relies on timely medical care, this lack of reliability is unacceptable. The overall experience felt unorganized and inconsiderate, and it left us with very little confidence in the office’s professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this practice, especially for patients who need dependable care.
