The doctor is amazing, very professional, and extremely thorough. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff, Jennifer and Kevin, was quite different. Even my husband that never has an issue with staff, found them to be rude, condescending, and argumentative during our interactions with them. They appeared to lack the communication skills, professionalism, and courtesy that patients should expect in a healthcare setting. I believe additional customer service and professional communication training could be beneficial. I’m sorry to say this because the doctor provides excellent care and deserves recognition for it, but the behavior of the staff negatively impacted my overall experience.

Kevin does the digital optical tests before you see Dr McMurdo. He has been with Dr. McCurdo for many years since I have been seeing Dr. McMurdo for my eye care. I highly recommend Dr. McMurdo and Seeklear Optical for your eye exams and Optical needs. Been using this establishment for over 10 years with great results always.

I have been seeing Dr.McMurdo with my kids and myself for years. I have never had any problems with the staff being rude. Dr. McMurdo is great. She is patient and gives real advice. They always advise me if they will be closed (for vacation or anything else, its a small business, they deserve time off too!) and help to make sure I get what I need prior to that.

So far both visits have been amazing! The doctor and staff are incredible! Thank you for being my optometrist office. Everyone is kind and professional. Will definitely recommend! Quick update, make sure you get ALL of your paperwork. If not, they charge you for their mistake.

I called today 11/19/2025 to make an appointment for my son. My very first question was asking if they accept my son’s insurance, To which the lady responded bluntly “no.” I said “bummer, OK, thank you. Do you happen to know of any local offices that do accept my son’s insurance?” This time she responded “ Nope, you can call them and they can tell you.” I said “OK thank you Have a good day.” She literally did not say another word and hung up on me. Absolutely completely rude and unprofessional- JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE’s REVIEWS! Based on this experience, I wouldn’t want to bring my family here and you shouldn’t either.
