Check in was easy breezy and I didn’t have to wait to be seen at all. Assistant Brooke did all her checkups and computer work then called in Dr Arcaro. They were both very nice, efficient, and informative. I was given a plan to take care of my dry eye problem and have a follow up appointment in a few months. It was a great experience!

Dr. Phillpotts, is awesome, extremely professional. He made me feel very comfortable, his assistant Kelli as well. The two tech Cynie and Maria were so nice, their instructions were precise. From the moment I stepped in the building I saw a well organized office. So it continued when I saw the nurse of Dr. Causey who was very thorough. Dr. Causey Was awesome, I would recommend him to anyone and will. He explained everything to me well that I could understand as a lay person.

I’m a veteran and I’ve been to many different providers. Reception was friendly and professional. Beyond that I felt like I was wasting their time, and I had committed some type of infraction by being there, after 20 min of verifying information in my record by a tech, I sat waiting for the doctor listening to someone talking loudly on the other side of the door about their personal life events and playing fetch with their dog they brought to work that day. I like dogs, but not in an eye clinic. After about 10 min, the doctor, that turned out to be the person complaining about moving and all the boxes and clothes etc came in and spent what felt like 3 minutes with me. Upon entering she told me her name, told me to move my feet out of her way, said the tech had my prescription ready and it looks great. She looked at my eyes under the scope and said she saw my Ptosis and the scratching, but there are “too many eyelashes for me to pluck.” She verified my dry eye condition and after some retina photos she said I’m fine, “ your cataracts are Not Ready” I wasn’t aware I had cataracts at all. I don’t even know what a cataract is, and in the past I’ve had eye doctors explain conditions and practice compassion with some education. She spoke to me abruptly, condescendingly, as if I where taking up her time. “Based on the techs findings my vision was found to be fine” even though I have scratched corneas and blurred vision. The doctor said there was another doctor in Tampa better experienced and I would tend to agree even in that moment. I’m all about good morale in the workplace, but it felt like I was just an inconvenient interruption, needing to be dealt with as swiftly as possible. This experience was very different, but helpful for me to appreciate the exemplary treatment I receive at VA facilities. It may take longer to get an appointment, but worth the wait for attentive and compassionate professionals.

It was such an awesome experience! The staff was so wonderful, and they went out of their way to make me comfortable since I was in an electric wheelchair. The wait time was less than 15 minutes. Dr. Causey was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable and actually helped me better understand a condition that I have had since I was a child. I would definitely recommend St. Luke's to my family and friends.

Upon arrival was pleasantly greeted by the staff. Was directed to sit in waiting room and my appointment was pretty much on time. The PA did a thorough job of getting me ready to see my doctor. The entire appointment was 1.5 hrs. My only advise is to have someone with you, it takes a while to recoup your sight to drive❤️
