I highly recommend this place! My two daughters are patients of Dr. Rivera, and I absolutely love the care she provides for my girls. She explains everything and answers all my questions. It's always a quick and easy visit; my girls get their eyes checked, get their prescription, and we are on our way next door to get them their new glasses. 10/10 experience! Thank you BVC for your care and professionalism!

I love having my eyes checked at this office. The staff is always friendly and Dr. Rivera is amazing. I’ve been having vision problems and she quickly corrected my vision and now my eye is not straining with my new glasses. I highly recommend this location to anybody with Optical issues. It is so nice to be able to see clearly again.

I scheduled this appointment due to ongoing vision issues and persistent pain in my left eye that has lasted for several weeks. Some days the pain is severe enough that I have to take prescribed Tylenol 3. Instead of receiving care, I left my appointment feeling confused, frustrated, and deeply uncomfortable. During the exam, Dr. Larisa Rivera repeatedly questioned how I described my symptoms. As a patient, I was doing my absolute best to explain what I was seeing, specifically detailing what felt like worsening double vision in my left eye. Rather than helping me navigate these symptoms, she treated my descriptions with skepticism. The most distressing part of the visit was the manual refraction test. Dr. Rivera rapidly flipped through the lens options and demanded an immediate, automatic response to which image was clearer. When I paused, asked to see a slide again, or tried to correct an answer to ensure accuracy, she grew impatient. She grew highly impatient and criticized me for 'not sticking to an answer.' She then used a condescending, phrase to essentially tell me I was making no sense. While I cannot recall her exact wording, it was clearly a high-handed attempt to talk down to me and mask her rudeness as professional authority. Feeling completely rushed and invalidated, I finally began giving arbitrary answers just to end the hostile interaction and leave the room. I came to this appointment because I am struggling to see and needed expert help. To be treated with such a lack of basic patience and professionalism was incredibly alienating.

Barajas Vision Clinic offers walk-ins practically every day of the week, that was the initial reason why we visited this place. Dr Rivera was very nice and explained everything she was doing while conducting the exam. I was surprised when she investigated some scarring in my daughter's right eye when she noticed it during the exam. My daughter had an injury to her eye when she was in kindergarten but Dr Rivera didn't take it for granted and took a closer look with a special dye to make sure everything was okay. Thank you for the prompt and excellent service y'all provide. 😀
