Great place for eye exams and glasses. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. I do ask that they install or have some magnified mirrors available for customer use, It was difficult to see what the frames looked like on me. I'm sitting here today wondering what I got myself into, I'm afraid I will not like the frames once I pick up my glasses and can then see clearly what they really look like 🥺. The sales lady said they looked nice on me. Yes I took selfies to see myself but there was too much lighting and my lens picked up a lot of glare so even the pictures were not very clear. Magnified mirrors for those that can't see would be a great addition to the store even if they are sit on the shelf ones. Again very pleasant and helpful people and I love they will give you their input on how the frames look. I highly recommend them and I have recommended them in the past to others and will continue to do so.

My eyesight is getting worse as I get older. Recently, I've had issues with the clarity and sharpness of the prescription Ieven with the recent prescription provided by the eye doctor. I thought my prescription was just off. It turns out that my prescription was correct. The issue was the placement of my glasses on my nose. My glasses needed to be elevated a few mm up to have the the correct alignment of my eyes to the lens. I would've never known that this could've been a problem. The staff at VVO identified that problem. My previous set was ordered online. I also did not know that they can make "computer" glasses. Basically these are glasses configured for mid distance. These are great if you work with computers all day. If you have progressive lenses, you would have to move your neck around to get the right spot. Not the case with computer glasses. I got progressive lenses and computer vision lenses from them. I'm very happy with my new progressive lenses I got from VVO. It was dialed in. They have a gadget that measures your eyes against the frame so the lenses are created/calibrated based on your actual facial profile. No generic measurements. I did have an issue with my computer lenses as this is an estimated calculation based on your distance prescription and your reading prescription. My monitor setup is farther than the typical 16-18 inches distance. VVO remade my lenses 3 times until they got it right. No additional cost and no questions asked. I even offered to pay for the new lenses because I felt bad that it wasn't their fault, but that my needs are just different than your normal daily use. They insisted that they will take care of it at no additional cost. That is 10/10 customer service right there. I used to order glasses online as they are usually cheaper. However, you will not get the fast service and excellent customer service that VVO staff provides. On another note, they have their lab onsite. You can get your glasses made same day for simple prescriptions. Progressives in 1-2 days. Speed is a very big plus for me. I am definitely one happy VVO customer.

Gucci Gang by Lil Pump has always been one of my favorite songs but I never really knew what it felt like to own a Gucci product until recently. For 7 years I had owned one of my favorite Warby Parker frames and it wasn't until this year that they had flown off my face during a beer induced drum solo that they had discovered a life outside the frame (no pun intended). Thankfully my friend not only recommended Valle Vista Optical but proceeded to recommend becoming part of the Gucci Gang. I now am a proud owner of a beautiful Gucci pair frame spectacles that do indeed make the future a clearer destination. I highly recommend keeping your eyes peeled for their new location, I hear it'll be a sight to see.

The shop itself, and the people that know their jobs do truly an excellent job of taking care of the customers. My husband and I have gone there for many many years and we've always been really grateful but... today there was an individual by the name of Selena... first when I walked into the place. I let them know I was there. the male ssaid to please wait over there and then two other customers came into the store and then people came from the back to take care of the other two people that had come after me. I did ask the individuals the male that was there sitting down, sir is there a place to sign up and he said no ..fine I wait my turn times three and then I get Selena. I tell her that I bought my lenses there and I thought I had insurance. She looks at my account and says no ..I said ma'am can you repair them they usually repair it's not a broken metal frame part. It's the arm if you will and she said no you'll need to buy another pair and then I said ma'am I've been coming here for years. Is there anyone else that I can talk to then she proceeded to ask the gentleman next to her and said we can replace the arm so I was grateful and I left. I live about 30 miles from there as I'm driving home Selena called me back to tell me that I did in fact have insurance after she checked correctly and that they could replace my frames So I turned back around and drove 20 miles back to pick them up. What is truly disheartening is :the other customer that didn't ask the questions or that were misled.. and incurred extra charges ..Please for the sake of your loyal customers provide training to Selena so she can do better.

The BEST!! We visited all of the opticals in Harlingen and ONLY Valle Vista carried toddler flexible glasses. They were beyond amazing - the glasses were on backorder till Mid May and they allowed my 2yr old to have a loaner pair in the meantime. They kept me updated on the status and called promptly when his pair arrived. They swapped lenses in less than 5min and we were ready to go!! Thanks Valle Vista Staff
