Beyond 2020 Vision Specialist Lakewood Ranch

I had a wonderful experience. The technology they use for your eye exam felt advanced and precise. With my VSP insurance I had optimal benefits for choosing my frames. They have packages and bogo deals that I was able to use as well. Very friendly staff that answered all questions and made me feel confident in my decisions.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. UNPROFESSIONAL AND SUBSTANDARD CARE. On May 1st, 2026, I visited this location (6574 University Pkwy) for an eye exam to get reading glasses. The exam by Dr. Tumolo was extremely basic,even Walmart has far better technology and machinery. They messed up my prescription **twice**. The first time, everything was completely blurry. I came back for a re-examination, the doctor refused to even look at the defective glasses, and the second pair was just as useless. I can't read a single thing with them. When I requested a full refund for this substandard service, the medical staff’s behavior was disgraceful. While the head of the glasses selection department provides excellent and magnificent customer service, the optical/medical side is a disaster. A gray-haired older woman at the desk was incredibly rude, hostile, and completely lacked basic customer service skills. After weeks of being ignored, lied to, and told emails were being sent to billing, she and her manager today flatly refused to issue a refund, offering yet another useless appointment instead. I do not want another appointment with a company that fails twice. I want my money back for a service that was never properly delivered. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and corporate offices. Protect your wallet and your eyes: **STAY AWAY.**

Dr Galloway was amazing. Went over my visit in detail and showed what my RX was and what the new RX is. I saw everything crystal clear with the new RX. My 19 yr old daughter (which IYKYK 19 yr olds) also had her visit earlier today and absolutely loved Dr. Galloway and the entire staff. She called me right after her visit to tell me how nice everyone was. We both loved talking about everyone’s NJ roots!!

Nice people all around. Felt like they cared that I came in. The one thing that did disappoint me is that the person I worked with didn't talk about my insurance, which I've never had before for vision. I may have had a larger selection of frames to choose from other than the least expensive. I didn't think about it until a day later. As a salesperson for 40 yrs, budget was always my 1st question. But I love my selections and may have chosen them, or have been limited to them, anyway. Great selections of frames for my small head & bifocals to boot.

I was thrilled to visit Beyond 2020 vision. Everyone was very nice and very thorough. I have already set my husband up with an appointment and will be happy to recommend it to others. I had a terrible experience two weeks ago and was so upset on so many levels. Today was wonderful and I am so happy I found Beyond 2020! Thank you!
