I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and my experience at America’s Best in Broomall. Everyone there was so kind and friendly and made me feel like I was in great hands. Dr. Ellsworth was so knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me explaining everything throughout my eye exam and answered all of my questions. I’m not one to write reviews often, but this team certainly deserves a 5-star review! :)

Ordered 2 pairs of glasses in February. Never received a call or text saying they were ready. I finally stop in the store a full month later to find out what's up. Glasses are there, no explanation provided as to why I wasn't contacted. One pair is good to go, the other is damaged, bent to the point the employees (2 of them) can't bend them into the correct shape. I'm told they have to send them back to be remade. Another full month passes with no call or text. I stop by the store again to find out what's up. "We don't have any glasses here for you. The computer shows you already picked them up." So, they sent the glasses back, but never re-ordered new ones for me. Awesome. I'm told they'll have to reach out to their regional manager, and I'll be getting a call. Two days later, no call. Time to file a claim with the corporate office. Do. Not. Go. Here.
the worst experience i’ve ever had getting glasses i was shocked at how rude and condescending 2 out of 4 of the staff were on 5/2… i almost walked out without even getting my prescription that’s how uncomfortable i felt & i’ve been getting glasses for over 15 years. when i walked in nobody explained the deals to me and all the signs are very vague. they knew i wasn’t using insurance because they confirmed that with me in the beginning. i picked an $80 pair on clearance and got an exam and she told me the total was $400 i asked her to explain it to me very nicely and she responded in the most condescending tone possible and her facial expressions said it all. she also didn’t even break the price down for me at all i asked twice. her name was brandi and she looks so miserable, i don’t know how she even got the job she lacks every single trait you would need to be in customer service. i will never come back because of her and the other dark skin woman (i don’t know her name unfortunately) working with her that day. the other girl practically rolled her eyes at me as i asked a question about my prescription and i was so nice/calm and respectful the entire time. the male doctor and the blonde lady at the front were so polite but i will tell everyone i know to stay away from this place because of brandi and the other girl’s horrible attitude. please explain to me how my exam was $99 and with my $80 glasses my total was $400 and she couldn’t tell me why. i’m so irritated i even waisted my time here.
My father went to just pick his old prescription up because that is what its comfortable with. And the staff refused to give him his printed prescription. Kept saying its expired but atleast still print it because that is what he wants. This is just s scam for making money and asking people to come “every year” even tho their prescription has not changed, plus these places needs to hire people with better experience and etiquettes.
Someone called me on my way to the appointment & asked if I knew my appointment was remotely? I said NO, WHAT? I was not happy since when I scheduled my appointment I was told the next time the Dr. was in was on Mon the day of my appointment. Then I get there 15 minutes early & waited 40 more minutes after my appointment time to be told by the girl at the front desk. The remote TV to do the appointment is not working correctly & we need to reschedule your appointment. No a very good first visit at this location. I will NEVER go to an America's Best again. Why was the Dr. Not there for the appointment? How can you even get a correct prescription when the Dr. is not there for your appointment. The Tech seemed to not know what to do when he was coming out with the guy who was in front of me. Worst experience in over 40 years of wearing glasses & contacts. NEVER have I had a Dr. Not ne present at an eye appointment. I will make sure to tell anyone I know not to go to America's Best. Not after that experience.
