Dr. Howard is an exceptional optometrist. In May, I received a prescription for new lenses, which I paid for in full. I was informed that the turnaround time was approximately two weeks. However, three months later, I still had not received the lenses. I have not received any updates from the office unless I have initiated contact.

I don’t know what happened to this place. I’ve been a patient here since 2018. It’s been great. Dr. Howard is fantastic. But since it was purchased by a larger practice, it’s gone downhill. Twice in the past two months I’ve called to try to see Dr. Howard for an acute issue. The front desk person could do nothing for me. Or she would say they had something next week despite me describing eye infection symptoms. They also said they would call back but never did. So unfortunately I’m moving on to a different practice.
Avoid this place at all costs , they have only one doctor and their patient service is pathetic. If you need any follow-ups , it will take forever because they don’t get back to the patients. Dr Howard is great but the whole structure and support at this office is miserable
I ordered sunglasses from your office nearly 7 weeks ago. They were supposed to be ready in 2 weeks. The times I called your office (they never proactively communicated with me) I was routed to the same person. She gave me the run around, did nothing to resolve the issue or offer to compensate me for the inconvenience. I've paid a $446 deposit and it seems like the product I ordered is not going to be delivered. I've used Carolinas Vision Group ever since I moved to Charlotte, but this last experience has been so disappointing.
Carolina Vision Group was the most unprofessional optical experience I’ve had. They changed my prescription three times and still couldn’t produce a pair of glasses I could actually use. Every remake was declared “100% accurate,” yet the lenses were consistently wrong — and instead of re‑measuring properly, they suggested the issue was with my eyes and brain. After multiple failed remakes, they refused to refund the glasses or the frames, refused to return the claim to the insurance company VSP, and I ultimately had to leave the unusable glasses at the office because they were of no functional value. If you need accurate measurements or a practice that stands behind its work, look elsewhere. Your response was just a generic template that doesn’t reflect what actually happened. Over just 2.5 months, my prescription was changed three times and the glasses were remade four separate times. Despite all of this, I never received a usable pair of glasses. Suggesting that I “reach out” again ignores the fact that I already did that multiple times. At this point, the only reasonable solution is a full refund so I can return to VSP and have the prescription and glasses made correctly elsewhere. I’m posting this update so future patients understand the full context, because a generic template response doesn’t match the seriousness of the experience.
