I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam, new prescription, and contact fitting. The optometry shop ladies were very welcoming and helpful and directed me to Dr. Gates office where Suzanne met me. She is so kind. Dr. Gates was very professional and thorough with the exam. He was sure to explain any questions I had in a way that I could understand. This was my first time attempting to wear contacts and putting them in was a struggle to say the least. Both Suzanne and Dr. Gates were more than patient while I struggled to figure out how to put the contacts in correctly. One of my eyes is between prescriptions for an astigmatism. Long story short, they were able to schedule me again immediately (very responsive in the scheduling department) twice now to troubleshoot the issue. I am now typing this review with two very comfortable contact lenses and not having to wear glasses for the first time in a year. Thank you again Dr. Gates! Ps- if you’re looking for glasses that are statement pieces or looking for a funky pair that has character, the optometry shop has an incredible selection as well as a great selection of sunglasses.

Dr. Gates and his staff are fantastic! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Dr. Gates was a sport dealing with me and my terrible eyes. Would highly recommend. Also some cool tech in the office and got to see a picture of the back of my eyes!

Dr Gates is quick and thorough. Approachable and answers any questions you may have. Front desk staff is excellent and they have a good variety of glasses to shop for on site as well. Would highly recommend this office!

We thoroughly enjoyed our appointment with Dr. Gates, which was also our first ever eye appointment. My son needed his vision checked and ended up needing glasses, a first for our family. Dr. Gates is down to earth, very patient with a 14 year old learning to use contacts, and provides a very comfortable experience. Very friendly staff, and really cool office and atmosphere, too!

I cannot recommend this business enough. I’m so glad I decided to choose local instead of one of those corporate optical centers. Dr. Gates, his assistant Andrew, and front of house extraordinaire Maria, were all amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything, from check in to examination to looking at glasses afterward…I was floored with how pleasant, quick and seamless it was. And they have fun! You can tell they enjoy their work and who they work with. I will definitely be coming back here from now on. Cheers!
