Highly highly recommend Charleston Eye!! Dr. Cody Smouse was excellent, and his assistant Erica was extremely thorough during my exam. I came to Charleston Eye Doctor for a second opinion after moving from another practice, and I’m so happy I found this team. Dr. Smouse made me feel comfortable and did not rush the exam. They reiterated that they would take any time needed to help me find the proper fitting lenses. Always a win when I find a healthcare provider who I'm excited to have continued care with.

I have been going to see Dr. Smouse and the team at Charleston Eye for a few years now, and have absolutely loved my experience with them!! They are always punctual, friendly, communicative, and efficient! I would highly highly recommend as an eye doctor in Charleston, SC.

I have gone to the same eye doctor for 20 years. I wasn’t able to make it home for my annual exam and Charleston Eye was able to get me on their schedule. Everyone was kind and thorough and familiar with granular dystrophy (rare). 10/10 recommend if you are in need of an eye doctor.

My initial visit with Dr. Smouse was a great experience. Seen at the given appointment time, very efficient and thorough exam. Entire staff very friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to getting my new glasses to correct my blurry vision in my left eye.

In my experience, this office strikes an excellent balance between friendliness, thorough care, and efficiency. I had no wait time, and Dr. Smouse took the time to answer all of my questions patiently without making the visit feel rushed. It’s clear the practice prioritizes staying current, as they continue to invest in updated equipment and technology. The availability of convenient off-street parking is also a nice bonus.
