Definitely had better experiences with the nursing staff back home…nurses were very rude and one didn’t even acknowledge I was asking her a question in the elevator and it was just me and her so I know she heard me. Others were very short and when I would ask something, just not the kind experience you would expect while child is there having surgery. Make sure not to ask your nursing staff for anything because you can see the annoyance on their faces when you do. I was looking forward to this because I read how good they were and it fell short for sure. The doctor was good all except only getting to speak with him for less than 2 minutes. It was obvious he was rushing as well and I understand they have schedules to keep but when someone’s child is there for their very first surgery, theyre hoping for at least 5 minutes of talking and understanding the procedure they were doing. This will definitely affect us coming back here for the next part of this surgery, I just don’t care to come back.

This place is awesome my mommy and daddy had told me that I had scoliosis and I decided to let it be for a bit, then it started hurting way too much and I decided to have the surgery about a year ago. They made my surgery an amazing process, most definitely. Brock, Gabby and Dr. Van Norwick made me feel comfortable and made my recovery very possible. The food was splendid and the care was very splendider and made me feel like they wanted me to recover (even more than they already do). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and have multiple sleeping spots. They brought extra pillows for people sleeping over, and they made the parents very calm and reassured by explaining every step of the way. 10/10 hospital!!

To be honest I would have gave it a 5 star, but they lost a star due to the person who handled my child's birth paperwork forgetting my apartment number and I never received my daughter's social. And because of that I am still running in circles trying to get my daughter's social because the social office does appointments only and they are backed up. Anyway beautiful hospital great staff and treatment. Awesome care. Just double check with the nurses handling your paperwork after giving birth so you don't run into the problem that I am having due to a missing piece of my address.

The nurses, doctors, care team all of them are phenomenal but the billing department/customer service is not. I verified insurance information three times while still in the NICU only for them to spell my daughter's first and last name wrong. Obviously insurance isn't going to pay for that so I sent a message with a guaranteed response within 48 hours and that didn't happened. I just called and was hung up on and then spoken to rather rudely by someone named Dee. I have it in writing I tried to provide the correct information but if this hospital wants to eat a six figure bill because customer service is horrible, go ahead. Such a disappointment that after such wonderful care this will be the lasting impression.

My daughter has type 1 diabetes. She has been admitted to this hospital on a few different occasions since diagnosis. Amy in the PICU on the night staff is an absolute dream! Absolutely amazing. Like any parent I get scared when any of my kids are sick, but I know I can always count on this hospital to take care of whatever is needed.
