WATCH OUT expressing any tiny concern about your child in their eye exam or they will bill your medical insurance than your vision which will cause a lot of out of pocket expenses. Their whole business model seems to be built around it so it even fishes for questions in the sign up and during the exam. I'm very disappointed with their billing, I submitted a request to reconsider, and received no answer, and their voicemail box is full... wonder why! It is known that they can charge 3 to 5 times more to medical insurances, and for the people with high deductibles this becomes a big hit out of pocket when it should've been covered completely by our vision plan. Very predatory practice to families.

Don’t let the “children’s” part fool you, this is a top notch surgical and medical office for everyone. I was referred and hesitated thinking I couldn’t be helped as an older adult. However, I was not only proven wrong, I was given such quality care in still smiling. Dr. Tea, her assistance and staff are why professionals with compassion and skill enter the medical field. I am eternally grateful.
I wish I could separate this review from the Optical Department and the Physicians - As I understand it, they are separate: "Colorado Family Optical" vs "Children's Eye Physicians" We usually go to the Wheat Ridge office because my girls see Dr. Steele (who is amazing by the way) but the Optical Department at the Wheat Ridge office is impossible to get ahold of. After calling multiple times with no answer, I left a voicemail for a call back and two weeks later - still haven't heard back. This exact same thing happened to me a year ago at that office too. So not a one off fluke. I ended up calling the Erie office and the gentleman who has answered the phone every time I've called over the last two weeks has been phenomenal! If you're between the Erie or Wheat Ridge office, do yourself a favor and just go to Erie!
My son came here after his original eye doctor referring him because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. The care here has been phenomenal! They were able to figure out what was happening with my son’s eyes quickly and get it under control immediately. They are amazing with kids and Dr. Steele and Arbuckle are great doctors.
Friendly pediatric focused staff and waiting room. The exam was quick and fun for my 6 year old. This is a great place to start your child in their eye care journey.
