I was told that the ER would provide me with an Uber ride home so my fiance could take my children home to sleep as it was after 9pm. One of the drs came to tell me my results and they would get me discharged soon. I asked about the Uber and she said she would call. Once my nurse came back I mentioned the Uber and she said she was never informed. She asked where I lived and then said they probably wouldn't drive that far. She took out my IV. I told her I would call my fiance to have him come get me if he would wake up and she told me to let her know and she would also see what she could do. I had to call the nurses station to ask if I could get dressed and I also had heart monitors still attached. They then told me I could remove them myself. After sitting for over another hour with no more interactions, I found my nurse in the hallway. I asked her if I could get dressed so I would be ready to go once my fiance got there to get me, and she said.."oh I didn't even realize you were still here. I thought you left already." I informed her that she told me she was going to bring me discharged papers over an hour prior to that but she never came back. She told me I had already been discharged and was good to go. She proceeded to help me find the lobby. I almost tripped and fell and doubled over in pain and stopped walking stating I almost fell (2 days after a surgery), and she kept walking and didnt even ask if I was okay or anything. I don't feel like I was treated with respect or common courtesy and that I feel like I was invisible and overlooked.

I went to the emergency department because I had the worst tooth pain I have ever experienced in my little 46 years of life! I’m so lucky to have Good Sam hospital with their great staff help me back to a pain free life until I see the dentist 🙏🦾 Thank you guys !! P.s You have some great people in medical records too!!!
Had our first baby here and the overall experience was great! From the beginning of the pregnancy (our OB doctor was also here) to taking our baby home— everything went smoothly. The nurse who was with my wife during the delivery was such a kind lady! The delivery room was very spacious and had nice views. The nursery was a little smaller than we expected but they told me a new wing was being built so recent experiences may be different. All essential stuff for the baby (diapers, formula, wipes, clothes, etc.) were provided by the hospital during the time we stayed in the hospital (two days). Good Sam is a fantastic hospital and I would definitely recommend it. They handled everything well even during the pandemic.
I went in with severe 10/10 pain scale and they found a kidney stone. Again 10/10 pain. They refused to give me pain killers even though I was in unbearable pain. My toes were curled, I was shaking, sweating, crying, screaming uncontrollably. They still refused. For 5 hours I laid in the ER without them helping me. At one point I was screaming help me please help me and I girl comes in and says " You're in the ER if it's not an emergency don't scream help" I replied that it was and it was to me. I wanted to scream evil things at her but I didn't. I only gave more than 1 star because the nurses on floor 8 where the sleeping rooms are were angels. Ortho floor 8 Adrienne and Andrea. Y'all were the best
Shout out to employee Greg Davis from the lab department. After leaving the Breast Center, I found myself completely lost in the employee garage. I waved him down and without hesitation this kind gentleman took his time to assist me in locating my car. I hope that management sees my post and recognizes him and all who go out of their way to help a stranger. I wish I could give him s 10 star review.
