Everyone was extremely cordial and efficient! Dr Kennedy provided me with excellent answers to my questions! And the technician who took the pictures was very professional and kind! Also the technician fitting the glasses was also very professional and patient as I made my decisions. It was a totally pleasant experience!

Dr. Estes takes the time to personally perform the eye exams and explains every detail so you can make the right decision. He is very personable and never makes you feel rushed. The staff is also exceptional. It was a great experience.
Extremely disappointed in this location! I moved my appointment here after two of my original appointments at the location on W. Saginaw were canceled because of issues at that office and them being short staffed. My son gets his eyes checked once a year, right before school starts. I have noticed that he struggles a lot more with seeing nowadays than he did last year. My appointment was at 1:10pm. I arrived early around 12:40pm and filled out paperwork. Eventually we were called to the back. The assistant was very nice. Dr. Estes on the other hand was a different story. First off, you didn't walk into the room until 1:17 which wasn't a huge deal bc I know how appointments go. But then everything after that was terrible. You barely spoke to me after I said hi and was very dismissive. If I'm asking you questions pertaining to the health of my child, I expect to be treated as such. Do not just dismiss what I'm saying and try to hurry us out of the room. The main reason I was there was because my son had a sports physical done last week in which the doctor told me his vision was around 20/50 with glasses on. I understand that while she may not have been an eye doctor, you cannot just take her assessment lightly or discredit it altogether. I was there and watched him struggle to read not even the smallest of lines. Line 2 and 3 (which are bigger than the tiniest lines) were a struggle. And like I mentioned earlier, I have noticed signs of him not being able to see as well in the past month or so. Dr. Estes tells me well a lot of times those are nurses or you can't be sure who gave the exam because they aren't eye doctors. I understand this, but I am still not convinced that something isn't going on with his eyes. He then rushes through his list of tests on both of my son's eyes. My son is autistic and has a cognitive impairment. You are rushing him to answer you which option he sees better with, option 1, option 2. Option A or option B. My child barely had enough time to think about what is being asked of him before he can respond before you're rushing to ask him another question about another set of lines that he is clearly struggling with. So that is annoying in itself! He also read and mixed up the letters on several lines so clearly he wasn't seeing well. So then I ask him is it normal for his eyesight to take such a drastic turn within in a year because like I mentioned earlier we always come once a year around the same time. He then says it's not drastic, it's normal wear and tear. Again, I wasn't convinced by this. It seems to me that he struggled a lot more this appointment than I've ever seen him. But he brushed off my concerns and went on doing his tests with his back turned to me. Then he goes no, we just need to tweak some things with his prescription bc his astigmatism has gotten worse. I say ok, well I have another question. At the previous location the doctor told us both that he didn't need to wear his glasses all the time, only when he was doing schoolwork. So I ask him should Jayden start wearing them all the time. His response was unclear. He says well at this age he can. It wouldn't hurt bc it would be easier for him to keep up with the glasses and help his depth perception, etc. Again, I didn't understand. In your professional opinion would it be beneficial for my child to start wearing these glasses all the time? Yes or no?! I hate when people beat around the bush. And I still don't have an answer. The entire time I'm still confused, but he says we need to tweak some stuff, but he can see. He can read the lines on the monitor, it's just not clear. But the health of his eyes are fine. When the lady arrives to take the measurements for his frames she tells us that the doctor recommended getting the frames that include the anti-glare and blue light protection to which my response was, oh did he? He didn't mention anything to me and was actually rather short with me. The entire visit was disappointing!
Always pleasant and such an awesome front desk staff with such beautiful smiles and welcoming hello’s. The Dr’s are so professional, nicely dressed, smiling, communicating with me and making me feel comfortable. Next the final thing picking out glasses. I like how they let me browse through the glasses with no pressure. Clarkson Eyecare is my family eye care. Thank you all for your kindness and caring for my family vision. See you at the next visit.
It was a great experience. Laura was a great help with me getting my new glasses. Dr Estes was key nice as well. Maureen Murray.
