I have been coming here since I moved out here 10 years ago. Dr Jessen is great to work with and has helped me with several issues I’ve had. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I might have. All in all it’s a great place to go.

I have been going to Clarkson for years. My original doctor retired and the doctor I have seen the last few years I have not been happy with. The last two years she has been very rushed and a bit rude when I was asking questions. Then after I took the time to look at glasses I was considering getting two pair even though my insurance only covers one. They quoted me a price. I put it in my phone and said I would think about it. I came back two days later and the quote for the same two pair of glasses was over $200.00 more. I think the first person made a mistake but they would not honor the price they quoted. Needless to say I left without purchasing any glasses. There are too many other places to get glasses. I will be looking for a new doctor and place to purchase my glasses.
Dr. Thayer was awesome with both of my daughters. The only complaint I have is the scheduling system. I called and made appointments for both of my daughters but never got a confirmation. One daughters appointment was cancelled because it wasn't confirmed and the other daughters appoint wasn't cancelled but I never confirmed either of them. They have the correct phone number but who ever I talked wasn't really insterested in figuring out why I'm not getting the notifications.
Yesterday I received a UPS delivery from Clarkson Eyecare in Wentzville, MO containing eye contacts (I opened before looking at the address label). The name on the box was someone that does not live at my address. I contacted UPS and Clarkson Eyecare informing them of the mis-delivery. I told both companies that I have placed the package back on my front porch for them to retrieve. I further stated that they had a week to do so or I would dispose of the box. Today I got a call from a "Doctor" at Clarkson in Wentzville threatening me that I had to return the box to a local UPS or I would be breaking the law. I explained that I put the box on my front porch where UPS delivered it and that it was Clarkson's responsibility to deal with it from there. This is quite a business model. Screw up an expensive medical product delivery and then threaten the non-customer that received the product due to their error. I know and have used Clarkson Eyecare in the past. They are a good company but this particular store and its doctor have their head up their butt. Think about that before having your products lost in delivery.
If you're fortunate enough to have Diane Jessen serving your eye care needs, then this is a top-notch place. She's friendly, efficient and knows her stuff 100%. It does get busy in there sometimes, so probably a good idea to make/keep your appointments! Knocked off a star because of Clarkson Eye Care's wonky, colorful and vocal political views... as a company, please keep those to yourself and just do the job we're paying you for.
