This practice shines from start to finish. From scheduling the appointments (my whole family is see here) to check in/out is seamless and the staff is very friendly. They are also upfront regarding out of pocket expenses. Isabella (the tech) and Dr. Stacey are both engaging and knowledgeable. I’m happy to trust Dr. Stacey with my eye care.

This was by far my worst experience at an eye doctor. First, the patients are scheduled so tight that I waited for 1.5 hour after my initial check-in to be seen by the Dr. Beckman. I could see this at an emergency department, but an an eye doctor this means you are not giving adequate time to see patients. That said, while being seen the appt was very rushed. Second, I was pressured to use a telehealth compounding pharmacy in Florida for pre-packaged eye drop because I would get a 'very good price'. It took a 10 minute conversation of me pleading to just use my local pharmacy for the office to finally admit it was an out-of-state compounding pharmacy in Florida. I did you not, I asked 8 questions before they finally told me what the pharmacy actually was. Ill let you decide why I was pressed to use a pharmacy that will give me a 'really good price'... After my 10 minutes of pleading for my prescription to be sent to CVS, when I checked with my local CVS about the prescription they said they never got it. How frustrating. I gave up and just booked another appointment with a different eye doctor and I suggest you do the same. Update: When I called to say I didnt think it was fair to have to pay this bill because my prescription was never received I experienced more frustration. It took 3 days for them to call me back. The lady on the telephone was really kind and understanding, she promised to raise this to her manager and would get back to me about the bill. Guess what, that call also never came. I did learn that on their end they showed the prescription getting sent but one was rejected while a generic substitute was accepted. Why this did not lead to CVS accepting and filling the generic I do not know. Maybe if they didn't shuttle patients through so tight they could have followed up with CVS about the status of the prescription. I paid the bill, Im moving on, but what an awful experience and a complete waste of time. This review is to try and keep you from making the same mistake.
It is a good place to go for eye care. The check in process was VERY slow. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get checked in. The receptionist was very fast and efficient with her job, she just had wayyy too many people to check in by herself. When I brought it up they said it only happens on Wed mornings when a lot of people have appointments and arrive at the same time. Well that would mean that is when you should have extra help at check in. Especially because the girl checking out didn’t have anyone checking out at that time. Maybe could cross train her? Also, which I have mentioned before when doing these reviews. Remind your techs that they should introduce themselves with patient interaction and definitely before starting a new procedure. These are just minor adjustments to make the patient experience go from an 8 to a 10.
I really like Dr. Wolff, but besides her, the rest of the experience is bad. Long waits in the waiting room. Long waits in the exam room. Long waits in the dilation room. Then back for another long wait in the exam room again. My recent annual glasses exam took over an hour and a half. That was a 7:45am appointment. They weren't even behind yet and it still took 90 minutes. Nice chairs in the waiting room.
The services at Comprehensive Eye Care were provided with clear guidance and advice. The staff are awesome and knowledgeable about their assessments. I am impressed with everyone and everything @ CEC.
