This was a really big and clean Costco! Well laid out. Tons of variety! Nice associates. Huge parking lot and other nearby shopping and dining, but when you have deli mustard for the $1.50 hotdog, why wouldn't you do that!? Lol

I love the New Richland store! Except that it's backwards from pretty much every other one I've been in, lol. I can always find parking everything is new and smooth it does get a little congested at the front with the food court and people blocking the way to the exit. Selection is always good, samples are on point, have seasonal plants and flowers, and I always find food and snacks.
I went to Costco and took my cart all the way to the front, but I didn’t put it together with the other carts. Then the employee was like, “Come on, guys, let’s put the carts away.” And I was like, “Are you talking to me?” 😂 He didn’t even reply! But honestly, in my mind, I took the cart all the way over there… that should’ve been good enough! 🤣 Like, I did my part! 😂
Ordered a desk and a ceiling fan from Costco’s website, and they were delivered on Monday the 29th. On Tuesday the 30th, we put the desk together only to discover it was damaged. I called Costco corporate, and the representative told me to take it to my local warehouse and exchange it. I also decided to return the ceiling fan because the box arrived damaged, and I assumed there was a good chance the fan was damaged as well. The representative confirmed they had 13 of the desks in stock, so I headed to the warehouse. When I arrived, I was helped by Leo at the returns desk. After I explained the situation, he told me the issue was that the desk and fan were more expensive in the warehouse than what I had paid online. Instead of doing an even exchange, they wanted to refund my purchase and have me buy new ones at the higher in-store price, meaning I’d have to pay the difference. I obviously had a problem with that since the damaged items were delivered to me that way. Leo called over his supervisor, Carissa, to see if they could honor the online price during the exchange. Before he could even finish explaining the situation, she immediately shook her head and said, “No.” I then explained everything in detail, including that I had spoken with Costco corporate less than 45 minutes earlier and that they were the ones who instructed me to come to the warehouse for the exchange. The entire time, she continued shaking her head, smiling, and telling me no. Not that it should matter, but I’m also dealing with a bad back, which is one of the reasons I had these items shipped to my house in the first place. Instead, I ended up making a trip to the warehouse for nothing. Here’s the thing: maybe the answer really was no. I can accept that. But how you deliver that message matters, especially when you’re dealing with a frustrated customer. I never felt like she cared about the situation or even wanted to hear me out. She didn’t seem concerned that Costco corporate had directed me to the warehouse or that I was there because damaged merchandise had been delivered to my home. She just wanted to tell me no and move on. That’s not the kind of customer service I expected from Costco. Also, there in store model of the desk is literally damaged in the exact same spot as the one I received. Maybe it’s a packing issue or something. Regardless, I’m not happy at all with the store and I really hope this gets rectified.
The gas station is the best spot to stop. It's clean and never a long line. The workers are awesome. We left with smiles on our faces with Josh and Jared.
