I want to preface that I have insurance and my regular doctor isn't covered until April. But I needed sooner, so I came here. The exams were easy but whatever doctor I saw was full of crap. I went in because my vision has gotten more blurry over the last few months and I've been getting headaches. He insisted that my current prescription is too strong and that's why I'm getting headaches. I really wanted to "trust the process" and I've been with my new glasses (which is a weaker prescription) for 2 days and it's awful. My vision is worse and things I should be able to see clearly, I can't. He also insisted I have 20/20 vision, which is great! Except I used to have 20/15 vision, so of course it bothers me and I want to get back to what MY normal is. I'll go to Costco for glasses every time, but never again will I see a Costco optometrist.

The optometrist and office staff were great. The people where you go to pick up your glasses were unprofessional. I could hear how they spoke to other customers while I waited to pick up my glasses. When it was my turn, the girl was in a rush and not very personable. After trying on the glasses, I could tell the frames needed adjusting. She told me the glasses were fine, it was my face that was crooked. I took them home and adjusted them myself. I will never go back.

The customer service and level of unprofessionalism at this optical center is absolutely appalling. First, the dispensing technician ordered me with the incorrect contacts and then tried to blame me for the incorrect order! Last time I checked they are in charge of reading my prescription and ordering the correct contacts. And then I was met was nasty attitudes and entitlement. This is the second year in a row I’ve received horrible treatment from this team.

"Costco Optical prides itself on having some of the most knowledgeable employees in the industry. Our staff consists of trained opticians that are well regarded in the optical industry" Not even close to being true... I just went in there Acquiring if they would take my government eye insurance from the Department of Defense I ask the employee if they take my insurance and The lady was super rude said that's not eye insurance it's medica and kept Arguing instead of taking a second to actually help and look it up to see that it is in fact a eye insurance that I have used at every other eye center with no problem Sad the way your employees treat members... as Much as we pay you should get people that actually know what they are doing. I will be canceling my membership and going to sams club after this

The people here are very nice. The only issue I have is the structure in which they conduct the order of service. Maybe to help keep wait times down, designate a specific person to help people who are just picking up orders, rather than making them wait an hour for other customers who have to sit with technicians to place orders. Having a ‘Pick up Order’ line could help streamline the process…
